Abstract: A passive intermodulation detection system is provided to remotely identify passive intermodulation at a base station site and diagnose the type of intermodulation and location of the non-linearity that is the source of the passive intermodulation. A passive intermodulation cancelation system can generate an equivalent signal to a received interference signal and use the equivalent signal to generate an error signal. The error signal can then be used to reinforce a learning system and converge on a steady state of the interference signal to cancel other interference signals.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed, from the perspective of the UE, for deriving UE transmit power. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE deriving a first pathloss value measured from a first reference signal. In addition, the method includes the UE deriving a second pathloss value measured from a second reference signal. The method also includes the UE transmitting a first UL transmission wherein the UL transmit power of the first UL transmission is derived from the first pathloss value. The method further includes the UE transmitting a second UL transmission wherein the UL transmit power of the second UL transmission is derived from the second pathloss value.

Abstract: A solid state power amplifier uses a Doherty power amplifier that can be implemented as a monolithic microwave integrated circuit. By adjusting the DC bias of the amplifying stages in each branch of the Doherty amplifier, the output power, linearity, and DC power can be adjusted to provide a specified output, where the specification for the output can include the maintaining of desired DC power and linearity. The Doherty power amplifier can be used in a satellite payload or other application utilizing solid state power amplifiers, while providing the proper amount of RF output power and DC power. A single amplifier can have its bias levels adjusted for different output levels, helping to minimize the number of designs that are required for a given satellite payload, reducing the variety of parts in a satellite payload.

Abstract: A space-based solar power station, a power generating satellite module and/or a method for collecting solar radiation and transmitting power generated using electrical current produced therefrom is provided. Power transmitters can be coordinated as a phased array and the power generated by the phased array is transmitted to one or more power receivers to achieve remote wireless power generation and delivery. In many embodiments, a reference signal is distributed within the space-based solar power station to coordinate the phased array. In several embodiments, determinations of the relative locations of the antennas in the array are generated by an array of sun sensors that estimate the shape of the module to evaluate the phase shift and/or amplitude modulation to apply to the reference signal at each power transmitter.

The computing device can then transmit configuration settings specific to the electronic device through the low power wireless communication session to the corresponding low power wireless communication device. The configuration data can be stored in a memory on the low power wireless medication device. When the electronic device coupled to the low power wireless communication device is powered up, it can access the configuration data stored in the memory.
