  • Patent number: 11070816
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable mediums are provided. A coded video bitstream including a current picture is received. A determination is made as to whether a current block in a current coding tree unit (CTU) included in the current picture is coded in intra block copy (IBC) mode based on a flag included in the coded video bitstream. In response to the current block being determined as coded in IBC mode, a block vector that points to a first reference block of the current block is determined; an operation is performed on the block vector so that when the first reference block is not fully reconstructed or not within a valid search range of the current block, the block vector is modified to point to a second reference block that is in a fully reconstructed region and within the valid search range of the current block; and the current block is decoded based on the modified block vector.

  • Patent number: 11012677
Abstract: Systems having rolling shutter sensors with a plurality of sensor rows are configured for compensating for rolling shutter artifacts that result from different sensor rows in the plurality of sensor rows outputting sensor data at different times. The systems compensate for the rolling shutter artifacts by identifying readout timepoints for the plurality of sensor rows of the rolling shutter sensor while the rolling shutter sensor captures an image of an environment and identifying readout poses each readout timepoint, as well as obtaining a depth map based on the image. The depth map includes a plurality of different rows of depth data that correspond to the different sensor rows. The system further compensates for the rolling shutter artifacts by generating a 3D representation of the environment while unprojecting the rows of depth data into 3D space using the readout poses.

  • Patent number: 10984259
Abstract: In some embodiments, a first homography, created from two images of a roadway, is decomposed to determine an ego-motion, and the ego-motion is used to adjust a previous estimate of a road plane. The adjusted previous estimate of the road plane is combined with the current estimate of the plane to create a second homography, and the second homography is used to determine residual motion and vertical deviation in the surface of the roadway. In some embodiments, multiple road profiles each corresponding to a common portion of a roadway are adjusted in slope and offset by optimizing a function having a data term, a smoothness term and a regularization term; and the adjusted road profiles are combined into a multi-frame road profile. In some embodiments, road profile information for a predetermined number of data points is transmitted in periodic data bursts, with more than one data point per data burst.
