  • Patent number: 10839998
Abstract: A magnet assembly (1) with a cryostat (2) has a superconducting magnet coil system (3), an active cooling device (4) for the coil system, and current leads (5a, 5b) for charging the coil system. The current leads have at least one normal-conducting region (15a, 15b), wherein multiple cold reservoirs (20) are thermally coupled to the current leads along the normal-conducting region thereof, in order to absorb heat the normal-conducting region during charging of the magnet coil system. The current leads have a variable cross-sectional area B in the normal-conducting region along the extension direction thereof, wherein at least over a predominant fraction of their overall length in the normal-conducting region, the cross-sectional area B decreases from a cold end (18a, 18b) toward a warm end (19a, 19b). This provides a magnet assembly requiring reduced cooling power during charging, with less heat introduced into the magnet coil system in normal operation.

  • Patent number: 10840842
Abstract: The present invention relates to a motor driving device and a method for measuring a phase current in a motor driving device, and specifically relates to a technique of measuring three phase currents of a three-phase brushless motor using a current sensor for measuring the DC bus current in the inverter. The control unit according to the present invention shifts a pulse phase of a PWM pulse such that pulse phases of the three phase PWM pulses in a first PWM cycle of the PWM control differ from those in a second PWM cycle of the PWM control, and measures the three phase currents from the output of the current sensor in these two first and second PWM cycles. The control unit calculates an offset error of the current sensor from these three phase current measurements and learns a correction value used for performing offset correction on the electric-current measurement.

  • Patent number: 10825628
Abstract: An microelectromechanical switch uses electrostatic attraction to draw a beam toward a contact and electromagnetic repulsion to disengage and repel the beam from the contact. The electrostatic attraction is generated by a gate electrode. The electromagnetic repulsion is generated between the beam and a magnetic coil positioned on the same side of the beam as the contact. The magnetic coil produces a magnetic field, which induces a current in the beam that repels the magnetic coil. The gate electrode and the magnetic coil may be co-planar or in different planes. A circuit may also operate a coil-shaped structure act as the gate electrode and the magnetic coil, depending on the configuration.
