Abstract: An image monitoring device includes a maximum value and minimum value calculator, a small-luminance-difference determiner, a small-luminance-difference-block counter, and a dirt adherence determiner. The maximum value and minimum value calculator calculates, for each of a plurality of blocks set in one frame of a video signal obtained through a lens, a maximum luminance value and a minimum luminance value of a plurality of pixels forming each of the plurality of blocks. The small-luminance-difference determiner determines whether or not each of the blocks has a small luminance difference, by comparing a difference between the maximum luminance value and the minimum luminance value with a first threshold. The small-luminance-difference-block counter counts a number of blocks having the small luminance difference in the one frame. The dirt adherence determiner determines whether or not dirt is adherent to the lens, based on the number of blocks having the small luminance difference.

  • Patent number: 10678469
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media are implemented by a decoder associated with a STB to facilitate intelligent monitoring, detecting and displaying simultaneous independent videos on a display. A request is initiated to display a PiP window that presents a second content stream simultaneously with a first content stream. The request includes information as to input parameters and video input characteristics for each of the first and second content streams. Currently available resources, including memory and bandwidth, are monitored and upon initiation of the PiP window request a query is executed to determine if the available resources are sufficient. If yes, allocation of available resources is carried out to simultaneously display the first and second content streams. If no, an adjustment operation is carried out that modifies at least one input parameter or video input characteristic to simultaneously display content streams in optimal formats.

  • Patent number: 10674124
Abstract: A projection system includes an invisible light projector, a background member, an imaging unit, an image generator, and a visible light projector. The invisible light projector projects a predetermined invisible light image onto the object via invisible light. The background member is disposed behind the object in a direction of the invisible light emitted from the invisible light projector. The imaging unit captures an image of the invisible light projected from the invisible light projector. The image generator measures a shape of the object based on the image captured by the imaging unit to generate image data showing image content for projection onto the object in accordance with the measured shape. The visible light projector projects the image content shown by the image data onto the object via visible light. The background member has a light shielding surface that does not diffusely reflect the invisible light incident thereon.

  • Patent number: 10638104
Abstract: A device, system and method for generating updated camera-projector correspondences from a reduced set of test patterns is provided. When a predetermined correspondences between projector points and camera points in an initial relative position of a projector and a camera have been previously determined, a recalibration therebetween may occur by projecting a single test pattern derived from the predetermined correspondences to estimate movement therebetween. When the movement is too great to be estimated by a single test pattern, another test pattern may be projected to determine an estimation function for the movement and in particular, estimate movement of one or more camera points in the projected images due to relative movement of the projector and the camera from the initial relative position to a current relative position.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for video processing. Aspects of the present disclosure can identify one or more macroblocks (MBs) in a frame including a static luminance. In some aspects, the static luminance can be a luminance value that is static for a time period. Aspects of the present disclosure can also determine whether at least one MB of the one or more MBs includes the static luminance for a time period greater than or equal or a luminance threshold duration. Also, the present disclosure can adjust the luminance value of the at least one MB based on the determination whether the at least one MB includes the static luminance for a time period greater than or equal or the luminance threshold duration. Further, the present disclosure can store, as static luminance information, the determination whether the at least one MB includes the static luminance.
