Abstract: The invention relates to a blank that comprises a lid portion of a box; a folding portion which can be erected to form an internal support (S) to house vials, ampoules, miniature bottles or similar articles endowed with a body, a neck and a head, that comprises at least one first section (7) endowed with a first plurality of holes (F7) and at least one second section (9) endowed with a second plurality of holes (F9), one of the two sections being provided with holes that have such dimensions as to retain said articles in correspondence of their necks and presenting around said retaining holes (F9) means for temporarily and reversibly increasing the dimensions of the said holes; at least one folding portion engaging with said internal support (S) for maintain it erect and square. The invention also relates to the boxes obtained from this blank and a procedure for packaging vials, ampoules, miniature bottles or similar articles in such boxes.

Abstract: A bottle for two-component extemporaneous products, of the type that comprises: a container for a first component, which is provided with an upper mouth; a reservoir for containing a second component, which is inserted substantially coaxially in the mouth, is open upward and has a bottom constituted by a diaphragm; a perforator, which can be inserted in the reservoir and is adapted to pierce the diaphragm in order to mix the two components; and a removable cap for closing the container in an upward region; the cap comprises a lower annular portion that is fixed to the container and an upper cylindrical portion that cooperates with the perforator and is rigidly coupled to the annular portion at an intermediate weakened region suitable to act as sealing means, a downward pressure on the cylindrical portion being adapted to disengage it from the annular portion and to make the perforator slide in the reservoir in order to pierce the underlying diaphragm.

Abstract: A CD box, wherein a connecting plate between two body parts forms a pair of engaging hooks, one end of each engaging hook is connected to the connecting plate to form a connecting end, and the other end forms an open tailing end, so that round holes on thin CD sleeves can be slipped over the engaging hook from the open tailing end. The open tailing ends extend down over the upper surface of the connecting plate, so that the thin CD sleeves with round holes are not subjected to sliding out of the open tailing ends.

Abstract: Plastering/cement trowels have sharp edges which can cut a worker when he places the trowel down in a resting position. The present invention provides a plastic sheath to insert the trowel into during the resting mode of use. This sheath also prevents nicks and dents to the trowel while it is transported. An optional sharpening file is attached to the top of the sheath. Various sheath embodiments include a narrowed rear section of a longitudinal slot on the upper member which functions to hold the spine of the trowel in the slot, a rubber membrane stretchable over the blade, a pair of pincer members on the top of the sheath to lock the shank of the trowel into the sheath, a tether on top of the sheath to lock the shank of the trowel into the sheath, and a rear door for the blade slot.

Abstract: A disposable shield designed to sheath a patient control device prevents contaminants from contacting or entering the device. The shield has a bi-directional opening through which the hand-operated device is inserted and removed from the shield. A removable sealing device is used to preserve the integrity of the shield when the sealing device is removed. The shield can therefore be changed each time the device is handled by a different person, minimizing the chances of cross-contamination. The shield also extends the life of the device by preventing biological contaminants from contacting the device.

Abstract: The paint brush protective caddy of the present invention is an open-top compartment bounded by a back, two sides, a bottom, and a front flap. The front flap is openable for inserting a brush in the compartment. To be openable, the front flap is attached to the bottom by a hinge. Alternatively, the bottom and front flap form a relatively rigid 90° corner and the caddy is composed of a material that will bend as a result of application of a moderate amount of force. The brush bristles fit into the compartment and is secured by a flexible strap that extends over the brush from the back. At least one surface includes a multitude of through holes to provide air circulation for allowing the brush to dry.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for storing liquids comprised of a plastic container, which is produced by a blowing process, which has a single layer or multilayer wall, and which is provided with at least one filling and emptying opening. The aim of the invention is, on the one hand, to economically manufacture a device of the aforementioned type by using inexpensive forming tools and, on the other hand, to be able to transport the device from the production site to the storing site also without incurring large expenditures. To this end, the container (1) is formed from at least two separately manufactured and largely identical container parts (2, 3), each of which comprising an approximately rectangular cross section with an underside (4) and a upper side (5) and having a height that is considerably greater than the largest cross section measure.

Abstract: A compact disc (CD) jewel box is described in which a multifunction light is positioned within the cavity space defined by the CD storage compartment and the CD support tray. The CD jewel box is illuminated with light from one or more light emitting diodes (LEDs) powered by small power supplies or battery cells, using one or more switches that are optionally sensitive to pressure, motion, ambient sound, or light levels. The multifunction light dynamically illuminates the prescribed spaces within the jewel box. A light conducting optical lens is provided to enhance the visual effects by transporting the light as desired. The support tray is constructed from a transparent material, preferably a transparent plastic.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display module packing apparatus having a rectangular lower plate, first and second side walls that extend from sides of the lower plate, and an upper plate that extends from an upper edge of the first side wall. To provide structural support, a plurality of auxiliary side walls extend from the ends and the middle of the first and second side walls. A plurality of fixing jaws are located on inner surfaces of the packing apparatus. Those fixing jaws receive and retain liquid crystal display modules. A plurality of grooves are located at side edges of the upper plate, and at upper edges of the first and second side walls. The liquid crystal display module packing apparatus can be unfolded into a flat structure.

The method includes containing parts in a tray having cavities configured to store the parts. The method further includes containing the tray in the base, containing additional parts in the base, and removing a lid to uncover the tray. The method further includes placing the tray in toolbox drawer configured to accept an item of a thickness of about 2 inches or less.

Abstract: A display enclosure encloses a retail software product box that has a cover attached to the box to display information about the product. The display enclosure has an aperture on its top surface. The aperture is shaped in such a way as to prevent the product box from being removed from the enclosure through the aperture. When the product box is enclosed within the display enclosure, the cover and preferably additional pages are passed through the aperture and extend outside of the display enclosure for the purchaser to read.

Abstract: Novel, quick, and reliable detection methods for determining the authenticity of optical and/or audio disc articles (such as compact discs, digital video discs, CD-ROM discs, and the like) are provided. Such a method basically entails the incorporation of an identifier or marking means within the edges of target optical discs or within any other portion of a target disc such that exposure to non-visible light sources will provide the desired identification upon irradiation or detection of the marking means therein. Such an identifier or marking agent thus may be utilized in conjunction with a transparent holding case whereby the needed light source may be exposed through the transparent walls thereof to permit detection of counterfeit or authentic discs without requiring opening of the case itself. Such a method may also be utilized for discs that are removed from or have not been placed and sealed within such a case as well.
