  • Patent number: 9670726
Abstract: A multi-purpose ladder with improved rungs has two ladder sections, and each of the ladder sections comprises two inner rails attached with inner rungs and two outer rails attached with outer rungs. Each of the inner rungs is composed of an upper rung member, a square pipe shaped intermediate rung member, and a lower rung member. The upper rung member and the lower rung member each have a slant pedal section and two support sections. The two support sections join the upper and lower side of the intermediate rung member and the slant pedal section. • Patent number: 9670980
Abstract: A safety device for use in a fall arrest or fall safety system includes an energy absorber to absorb energy in the event of a fall or other impulse event. The energy absorber is a resilient element (such as a tolerance ring) providing an interference fit between a first component of the device and a second component of the device. In the event of a fall arrestor other impulse event, the first and second components effect movement relative to one another, the interference fit being overcome, and the resilient element/tolerance ring acting to resist the relative movement thereby absorbing energy.

  • Patent number: 9656845
Abstract: The aerial lift includes a chassis equipped with elements for moving over the ground surface, a mast, a platform (10) supported by the mast, a control console mounted on the platform and including elements for controlling movements of the platform, and a safety bar mounted so as to tilt or slide relative to the console, designed to control the operation of the control elements. This safety bar is intended to assume a first, idle position where the safety bar does not prevent the operation of the control elements, and a second position, wherein the safety bar inhibits the operation of the control elements. When it tilts or slides between the first position and the second position, the safety bar assumes an intermediate position where it does not prevent the operation of the control elements and wherein it activates warning elements.

  • Patent number: 9631428
Abstract: Climbing devices and tree supports are provided for aiding a climber in scaling a tree, pole, or other generally vertical surface, and for supporting the climber at an elevated position along a tree or pole, such as in a standing or sitting posture. The climbing and tree supports include a body that supports one or more steps or support surfaces or handholds, a strap, cable, or other flexible securing member that is wrapped around the tree, and a retractor for stowing the flexible securing member so that it is extendable and retractable from the support. The climbing and tree supports are thus substantially self-contained so as not to require separate components for installation or use. Standoffs may be provided for stabilizing the support in a location spaced from the tree. Optionally, the steps or footrests, standoffs, and body are collapsible to compact configurations for stowage or transport.
