  • Patent number: 7284679
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing respectively predetermined quantities of pulverulent contents has a rotatably drivable metering roller containing at least one metering chamber and a material store which stores the pulverulent contents. The metering roller contains at least one lateral line, which is not line-connected to the metering chamber and of which the at least two line ends terminate on the surface of the metering roller. A gas line is guided into the housing and passes out of the housing again in a concave surface region. Gas is introduced into the material store via the lateral line, in dependence on the respective rotary position of the metering roller, through said gas line. Depending upon the rotary positions of the metering roller, the gas line, which fluidizes the contents present in the material store, is closed or opened by the metering roller.

  • Patent number: 7278557
Abstract: A pressure container is used for receiving viscous substances and has an outlet valve (14) which can be displaced between a closed position and an open position. A movable valve element (18) can be moved in the direction toward the interior of the container for unblocking an opening cross section. Since, on the one hand, a large opening cross section is desired and, on the other hand, it is necessary to overcome a very high initial resistance because of particles penetrating into the interior of the container, it is proposed to provide at least two opening cross sections which can be unblocked in sequence by actuating the valve. By means of this an initial small actuating force is achieved along with a still large opening cross section when the valve (14) is completely opened.

  • Patent number: 7264143
Abstract: The apparatus is designed to dispense an aerosol product from a pressurized cylindrical cannister having a depressible nozzle at one end. The dispenser is pistol-shaped, formed of a generally cylindrical body and a downwardly extending handle with a trigger. The body defines an elongated recess adapted to receive and engage the cannister, with the nozzle situated substantially along the axis of the body. The dispenser body has a nose part moveably mounted in the front end. Means are provided for connecting the trigger to move the nose part relative to the body to depress the canister nozzle such that the product is released through an opening in the nose part.

  • Patent number: 7261225
Abstract: A valve assembly for an aerosol can comprises a valve conduit having an inlet, an outlet, a valve seat in the flow path between the inlet and the outlet, and a resilient mounting of a valve member that permits relative movement of the valve member relative to the valve conduit. The valve member further comprises a valve element that is movable to sealingly engaging the valve seat, and a stem projecting from the valve member through the outlet of the valve conduit. During the movement of the valve member relative to the valve conduit, the movable tapered sealing surface associated with the valve member is configured to engage and concentrically align with a tapered valve seat on the valve conduit to establish an effective seal against the valve seat.

  • Patent number: 7237699
Abstract: A filter piston apparatus that dispenses predetermined volumes of pulverulent bulk material has a metering chamber which accommodates in each case a predetermined volume of bulk material, which is present at the end of a circular-cylindrical bore and which has its base formed by a filter of the piston. The metering chamber is attached to a positive-pressure or negative-pressure gas source through the filter, which is permeable to gas but impermeable to the bulk material. A piston wall has a transverse slot and an inner groove located radially opposite the transverse slot, such that the filter can be pushed into the slot from the outside and, when seated in the piston, can be secured on both sides in the axial direction of the piston along it periphery.

  • Patent number: 7185792
Abstract: A pressurized gas cartridge drives a dispensing device for viscous product cartridges. The dispensing device and the viscous product cartridge form a gas enclosure separated from a product enclosure by a movable wall. A valve is driven by a rack and pinion valve drive mechanism between an open position and a closed position upon rotation of the pinion. The rack rotates the pinion upon linear movement thereof. A trigger is adapted to impart linear movement to the rack upon manual actuation of the trigger. The open position of the nozzle valve permits viscous product to flow through the dispensing passage, and the closed position of the nozzle valve prevents viscous product from flowing through the dispensing passage. The interface between the trigger and rack is designed to operationally disengage rather than transmit a force therebetween that is capable of damaging the device.

  • Patent number: 7182224
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for portioning flowable food products, consisting of: a first group of cylinders (1) comprising pistons (3) which communicate with a chamber (5) having an inlet (5a) and an outlet (5b); a second group of cylinders (2) comprising pistons (4) which communicate with a chamber (6) having an inlet (6a) and an outlet (6b), and dispensing means. Said dispensing means are controlled by synchronisation and control means in order to: alternately communicate a food product inlet (9) with said chamber (5) whereby the cylinders (1) open the inlet (5a) and close the outlet (5b) thereof; and simultaneously communicate an outlet (10) with said chamber (8) whereby the cylinders (2) close the inlet (56a) and open the outlet (6b) thereof and vice versa. Fluid dynamic cylinders (26) actuate each piston (3, 4) consecutively or actuate on sub-groups of pistons (3, 4) consecutively in order to empty the cylinders (1, 2).

  • Patent number: 7178704
Abstract: An electrically-operating liquid dispenser having an U-shaped pole. Windings of an electromagnetic coil are wound about the legs of the U-shaped pole and are energized selectively for moving an armature relative to the pole to open and close the dispenser. The U-shaped configuration of the pole conserves space within the dispenser and contributes to a narrow geometrical configuration for the dispenser, which allow more compact side-by-side arrangements of multiple dispensers. In certain embodiments, the windings may be divided into sets capable of being individually energized.
