  • Patent number: 7168593
Abstract: A mixing assembly includes a mixing insert and a mixer housing that form a cavity when mated. The mixing insert includes orifices that penetrate the mixer insert. An inner vessel receives a product concentrate from a product concentrate source and the cavity receives a reconstituting fluid from a source, such that the reconstituting fluid is forced to exit the cavity through the orifices. Upon exiting the orifices, the reconstituting fluid engages the product concentrate stream, thereby reconstituting the product concentrate. The reconstituted product is then dispensed and evacuated from an end of a mixed product outlet tube, typically exterior to a protected environment, such as a chamber of a product dispenser. The mixing assembly includes varying mixing inserts to provide variable forms of engagement techniques.

  • Patent number: 7159744
Abstract: A flow promotion device (FPD) for use in conjunction with a bulk bag discharger is provided. The FPD includes a center plate pivotably connected to the bulk bag discharger frame. Extension plates are pivotably attached to each end of the center plate. A connecting element is connected between a lever arm on each extension plate and the discharger frame, and an actuator is connected between the center plate and the frame. Upon activation of the actuator, the center plate is moved upwardly, and the extension plates are pivoted upwardly and inwardly by the connecting elements in order to press against the bag from three different directions using a single actuator. Two FPDs are preferably used on the bulk bag discharger.

  • Patent number: 7152766
Abstract: An all-metal beverage can with a pour spout is disclosed. The can includes a can body for containing a beverage and a closure member. The closure contains a metal pour spout and a cap covering the pour spout. The pour spout and cap are in a recessed condition within the can body prior to opening the can, allowing the can to be shipped and stacked in the normal fashion. The closure further comprises a first layer forming the pour spout, a second layer forming the cap, and a scored area formed in the second layer. The cap separates from the closure by the user grasping the cap and breaking of the scored area (e.g., by twisting) and then removing the cap from the pour spout. When the container is opened, the pour spout is extendable from the can body to facilitate pouring of the beverage. In one possible embodiment, the pour spout is threaded. The cap threads onto the pour spout, enabling a resealing of the can.

  • Patent number: 7150376
Abstract: A double-layered fluid container which includes an upper diaphragm and a lower diaphragm, which provides alternating squeezing action so that the upper diaphragm and the lower diaphragm causes an opening and a closing action to the container. The contents in the container are isolated from the external contact with air and therefore oxidation process is inhibited and the container provides a constant delivery of the contents and the contents are prevented from back flowing into the container. The delivery of the contents can be controlled at a stable squeezing pressure.

  • Patent number: 7111759
Abstract: A sanitary, disposable dispensing assembly especially useful in producing a substantially contaminant-free reconstituted mixture of diluent and pure, preservative-free concentrate includes an inner member linearly slidable between open and closed positions in an outer member provided with a concentrate inlet. The dispensing assembly features a vent arrangement for enabling a complete draining of the mixture and preventing bacterial growth. A rib arrangement improves mixing of the combined diluent and concentrate, and prevents dispersion of the mixture when dispensed. The dispensing assembly is utilized in mechanical pump type and non-mechanical pump type applications on a post mix food and beverage dispenser.

  • Patent number: 7063239
Abstract: A dispenser for foamed detergents includes a cylinder (C) in which a piston (P) airtightly slides, the cylinder (C) being connected through a valve (V) to a foamer (F) where the detergent is mixed with air to form the foam which is dispensed through a dispensing chamber (U) provided with a nozzle (N), and further includes an additional piston (S) connected to the piston (P) through a shaft (A) and airtightly sliding in an additional cylinder (C?) in communication with the outside through a one-way valve (Y), a duct (D) extending between said additional cylinder (C?) and the dispensing chamber (U). In this way there is obtained the delivery of air through the duct (D) during the return travel to achieve the cleaning of the dispensing chamber (U) and of the dispensing nozzle (N) so as to prevent dripping of the foam and the development of mildew in case of a long interval before the next use.

  • Patent number: 7036686
Abstract: A system for dispensing and mixing metered amounts of first and second liquid components of a soft drink. The system comprises a mixing chamber connected by separate feed conduits to pressurized sources of the first and second liquid components. First normally closed valves are located in and demarcate the feed conduits into upstream and downstream sections. The first valves are opened automatically in response to pressure above a threshold level in their respective upstream conduit sections, and are operative when open to deliver a constant flow of liquid through their respective downstream conduit sections to the mixing chamber. Second normally closed valves are located in the upstream conduit sections. The second valves are opened in response to a command signal, and each second valve automatically closes in response to a drop in pressure below the threshold level in the upstream conduit section of the other second valve.

  • Patent number: 7032786
Abstract: A caulking gun includes a gun body, a push rod, a push plate, an adjusting seat, a driving member, and an elastic member. Thus, the adjusting seat is movable in the gun body by rotation of the driving member to adjust the incline angle of the push plate by guidance of the tapered urging face of the adjusting seat so as to increase the incline angle of the locking hole of the push plate, so that the locking hole is locked on the push rod in a tilt manner so as to lock and move the push rod, without having to replace the push plate, thereby enhancing the lifetime of the caulking gun.
