Abstract: A live ammunition shooting competition system comprises a target area having a first and a second set of targets for a first and a second shooter, respectively. The first set of targets and the second set of targets are arranged such that the first shooter can view a shooting progress of the second shooter as the first shooter shoots at the first set of targets and the second shooter can view a shooting progress of the first shooter as the second shooter shoots at the second set of targets. A first computing device is associated with the first shooter and a second computing device is associated with the second shooter. Each of the first computing device and the second computing device is configured to allow the first shooter and the second shooter to challenge shooters to a shooting competition and to negotiate a parameter for the shooting competition.

The lumbar spine stretch limiter assembly includes a belt assembly including one or more belts coupled to the thoracic spine and sacrum and disposed between the elastic lumbar spine member and a lumbar mounting wedge. During far side impact crash simulations, a portion of the belt assembly is brought into contact with the stretching elastic lumbar spine member to prevent further elongation of the lumbar spine member beyond a maximum allowable limit corresponding to a natural response of the lumbar spine region of a human to improve reproducibility of head excursion data and to prevent or minimize damage to the elastic lumbar spine member during far side impact crash simulations.

The improved abacus and method are adapted to perform mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and factoring. Additional mathematical operations are performable using described techniques. The improved abacus has a frame divided into an upper and lower section by a horizontal bar. The abacus includes a plurality of rods in which each rod contains four movable beads on the upper section of each rod and one movable bead on the lower section of each rod. The beads in the upper section have a value of two and the bead in the lower section has a value of one. Beads moved toward the bar are counted while those beads away from the bar are not counted. The improved abacus also includes a unit indicator, mathematical operational signs and positive and negative sliding indicators signs on the frame.

In one example, the apparatus can include a model arm can be pivotally mounted to and supported by a stand. The model arm includes an upper member that emulates an upper arm of a human, a lower member that emulates a lower arm of a human being, and a joint that pivotally connects the upper member and the lower member. A feedback mechanism can be provided within the joint of the model arm. The feedback mechanism can be configured to provide initial resistance to downward pivoting to the lower member relative to the upper member, to provide an audible and tactile pop when the procedure is successfully performed that emulates the audible and tactile pop that occurs when a human radial head pops back into place during an actual reduction procedure.

Abstract: An adjustable airway simulator that allows for different sizes of nasal cannulas to be connected. The simulator may include a fixture body that has a first tube and a second tube at a first end of the body. The second end of the body includes connector to connect a lung simulator. The simulator also includes a first nasal adapter and a second nasal adapter. Each nasal adapter comprising an open cylinder to be rotatably mounted to the first tube or the second tube. Each nasal adapter also includes a port to connect to a prong of a nasal cannula. When one or both of the nasal adapters are rotated, a septal distance between the ports of the first and second nasal adapters changes, which allows for connection to different sized cannulas. Differently sized nasal adapters may also be included to further augment the simulators adaptability to different nasal cannulas.
