Abstract: A method and a device for processing network element object information in a three-dimensional (3D) topology view are provided. The method includes: in response to a user's operation of selecting a first network element object in the 3D topology view displayed in a window, sending a first instruction to a back-end server; receiving position coordinates and size information of the first network element object from the back-end server; and adjusting position coordinates of the first network element object in the window according to a size of the window and the position coordinates of the first network element object, multiplying the size information of the first network element object by a preset zoom factor to zoom the first network element object, and redisplaying the zoomed first network element object at the adjusted position coordinates in the window. Thus, the user can identify the network element object quickly in the window.

Abstract: Systems and methods may provide for displaying a three-dimensional (3D) environment on a screen of a mobile device, and identifying a user interaction with an area behind the mobile device. In addition, the 3D environment can be modified based at least in part on the first user interaction. Moreover, the 3D environment may be modified based on movements of the mobile device as well as user interactions with the mobile device, allowing the user to navigate through the virtual 3D environment by moving the mobile/handheld device.

Abstract: A method and a device are disclosed, whereby notifications displayed on a display can be interacted with. In particular, a notification is displayed on a display, the notification initially being in an initial notification state. User input is detected and it is determined if the user input is being made in a direction towards the notification. If the user input is being made in a direction towards the notification, the notification is placed into a subsequent notification state.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a graphic user interface which is used in a display device operated by a remote controller are provided. A graphic user interface screen includes a main information display area for displaying main information in the form in which a plurality of main elements are recursively disposed and a sub-information display area for displaying sub-information including supplementary information according to information provided on the main information display area. At least one sub-element included in a main element is operated by a direction selection signal which indicates a direction perpendicular to a disposition direction of the main elements.

Abstract: According to one aspect, a method of previewing multimedia data, including selecting a first graphical representation in association with a multimedia object, displaying the first graphical representation, receiving an input in relation to the first graphical representation, in response to the input, determining whether to change the first graphical representation, and if so then selecting a second graphical representation from the multimedia object in a randomized manner, and displaying the second graphical representation.

Abstract: Systems and methods in accordance with embodiments of the invention implement three-dimensional (3D) gesture based graphical user interfaces (GUI) using gesture reactive interface objects. One embodiment includes using a computing device to render an initial user interface comprising a set of interface objects, detect a targeting 3D gesture in captured image data that identifies a targeted interface object within the user interface, change the rendering of at least the targeted interface object within the user interface in response to the targeting 3D gesture that targets the interface object, detect an interaction 3D gesture in additional captured image data that identifies a specific interaction with a targeted interface object, modify the user interface in response to the interaction with the targeted interface object identified by the interaction 3D gesture, and render the modified user interface.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer readable media for managing a project over a computer network is disclosed. A project selection is received. Data associated with the project is retrieved in response to the selection. Data associated with a user profile is also retrieved, and compared to the data associated with the project to detect inconsistencies between the project and the user profile. In an embodiment, substitutions are determined based on the inconsistencies and automatically incorporated into the project. Data associated with the project including the substitutions is then delivered to the user over a computer network. In another embodiment, data associated with the project and the inconsistencies is delivered to the user over a computer network. In some embodiments, data associated with alternative project inputs and/or project actions consistent with the user profile is delivered to the user for substitution into the project.

Abstract: A computer executes a presentation file to display a presentation frame. An input device generates an input signal in response to a user's operation to have the computer execute a presentation control instruction. There is a signal processing protocol between a remote driver of the computer and a server driver of another computer, wherein the two computers are communicable with each other via a network, for standardizing a packing process and an unpacking process of the input signal. The server driver executes the packing process of the input signal according to the signal processing protocol and transmits the processed input signal out to the another computer. The remote driver executes the unpacking process of the input signal to have the another computer execute the presentation control instruction on the presentation frame. In this manner, the another computer may display the same presentation frame as that displayed by the computer.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for providing integrated productivity services. One process includes operations for determining a context associated with a user of an application, identifying a user productivity feature for integration with an existing feature of the application based on the context, and augmenting a user interface of the application with a graphical object representing the user productivity feature. In some instances, the context can include an integration context defining a particular release version associated with the application. The context can also or alternatively include a role context defining a particular role of the user of the application within an organization, wherein the particular role is associated with a set of permissions or common tasks performed by the particular role. Still further, the context can include a user context defining a personal preference or habit of the user.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing object-in-content information that includes a central control unit which creates and provides basic content information, receives the object-in-content information and provides the object-in-content information in a user-viewable format. The apparatus also features an object information interface unit which transmits a message containing the basic content information provided by the central control unit to an object-in-content information managing device, receives a message containing object-in-content information corresponding to the basic content information from the object-in-content information managing device, and transmits the object-in-content information contained in the received message to the central control unit.

Abstract: Computer based systems and methods allow collaborative shopping for and/or designing of (e.g., customization) consumer products, such as articles of footwear, apparel, athletic equipment, etc., by plural users using different computing devices. The users' computing devices may be in communication with one another in various manners, such as over networked connections (e.g., a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN), an internet connection, etc.); via peer-to-peer communications; through a common server or combination of servers that establish a communications link; etc.). The various parties may participate in an on-line or other computer communicative session to create and buy customized products. Additionally, user interfaces for providing these collaborative sessions are described.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing a drag and drop discovery mode in electronic touch sensitive devices. In response to a user dragging and dropping a content icon into a search box, the content discovery mode may perform a search for content similar to that deposited into the search box. The search box may increase in size or change appearance while receiving the content icon. The results of such a search may be displayed to the user with a content discovery animation that shows similar content icons emerging from the search box and populating the device screen. The animation may be accompanied by sound effects. The newly discovered content may be randomly scattered over a portion of the screen, or they may be bundled into groups based on similar characteristics, and each group may be accompanied by a header notifying the user of the characteristics of the group.

Abstract: A touch screen computer executes an application. A method of operating the touch screen computer in response to a user is provided. A virtual input device is provided on the touch screen. The virtual input device comprises a plurality of virtual keys. It is detected that a user has touched the touch screen to nominally activate at least one virtual key, and a behavior of the user with respect to touch is determined. The determined behavior is processed and a predetermined characteristic is associated with the nominally-activated at least one virtual key. A reaction to the nominal activation is determined based at least in part on a result of processing the determined behavior.

Abstract: Servers, storage medium and methods associated with provision of user interface on a computing device are disclosed herein. In embodiments, a storage medium may have instructions to enable the computing device to monitor interactions with the first computing device by a user of the first computing device. The instructions may enable the first computing device to upload detected interactions or characteristic data of the interactions to a remote computing service to enable accumulation of the characteristic data of the interactions or generation of customizable user interface settings at the remote computing service.

Abstract: A method for amending a contract in a virtual world may include presenting an online chat option in response to another user's avatar coming within a predetermined proximity range of an avatar of the user and in response to the other user's avatar and the user's avatar having previously entered into a contract in the virtual world. The method may also include recording the online chat between the users to define an amendment to the contract in response to the online chat option being selected. The method may further include appending the amendment to contracting terms in a contract object in response to acceptance of the amendment by the users.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to manage zones of a multi-zone media playback system are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a user interface; a controller to configure one or more zone groups each associated with one or more media playback devices; a detector to monitor the user interface for a drag of an icon representative of a first one of the zone groups on the user interface from a first position to a second position; and a configuration implementer to change a configuration of the one or more zone groups in response to a detected drag of the icon.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to manage zones of a playback system are disclosed. An example method includes displaying a plurality of zone icons, including a first zone icon and a second zone icon, each of the zone icons representing zone player(s) operable to play back multimedia content in a local area network, wherein the first and second zone icons are currently located in a first zone group region, and wherein the zone players associated with the first and second zone icons are members of a first zone group, the first zone group synchronously playing back a first multimedia content; receiving a first drag and drop input to select the second zone icon and drag the second zone icon from inside the first zone group region to outside the first zone region; and, based on the first drag and drop input, causing the zone player(s) associated with the second zone icon to be disassociated with the first zone group.

Abstract: Aspects of a data environment, such as the cloning, hibernation, and recovery of databases, are managed using a separate control environment. A monitoring component of the control environment can periodically communicate with the data environment to determine any necessary actions to be performed, such as to recover from faults or events for a data instance in the data environment. A workflow can be instantiated that includes tasks necessary to perform actions such as recovery, hibernation, resumption from hibernation, or backup or cloning. Tasks of the workflow can cause certain jobs to be performed by host managers in the data environment to affect calls made to the control environment.
