  • Patent number: 10549449
Abstract: A bolt assembly (100) enables a user to change a circular blade (160) on a power tool (200) without the use of tools. The bolt assembly includes a bolt body (110) that has a bolt head (132) and a shank (136) that extends axially from the bolt head. The bolt head has a shoulder and the shank has external threads that mate with a threaded bore (220) of a drive shaft (212) of the power tool. A grip body (130) is formed circumferentially around the bolt head to facilitate rotation of the bolt body by the user's hand. An upper washer (114), a needle roller thrust bearing (116), and a lower washer (118) are positioned on the bolt head and retained with a retaining clip (120). The bolt body is rotated to press the lower washer against a clamping surface of the circular blade. The bolt assembly permits rotation of the lower washer relative to the bolt body without rotating the bold body.

  • Patent number: 10537948
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for shape cutting a pipe end. An arched cutter (4) of a punching tool (3, 4) is inserted into an end of a pipe (1) for penetrating the same into a wall of the pipe (1) in a plane of the arched cutter. Then, the punching tool is displaced in a direction perpendicular to a center axis (C) of the pipe (1), whereby the arched cutter (4), while moving outwards from inside the pipe, shears off a piece that matches its shape. The punching tool (3, 4) is withdrawn out of a pipe end, the punching tool is rotated 180°, it is re-inserted into the pipe end and the punching tool (3, 4) is displaced in a direction which is perpendicular to the pipe center axis (C) and opposite to the previous displacement direction, thus enabling the shearing off the pipe end a second piece matching the shape of the arched cutter (4).

  • Patent number: 10524967
Abstract: An orthopedic cast removal apparatus comprises a housing having a portion that can be gripped by an operator during use. A motor is located inside the housing. A blade is operatively connected to and driven by the motor via a drive mechanism, the blade defining a cutting edge having cutting teeth located thereon. The drive mechanism according to this aspect has a driven element with an axis of rotation substantially parallel to a surface of an orthopedic cast when it is cut. The blade is connected to the driven element at a connection point that moves periodically around the axis of rotation. As a result, the cutting edge of the blade engages material of the orthopedic cast in a galloping fashion.
