Patent number: 7591281Abstract: In an electromagnetic valve, a valve member is slidably installed in a housing to open and close a valve hole. A moving core is slidably installed in the housing, and a coil generates a magnetomotive force to attract the moving core to one side when it is energized. The valve shaft links a motion of the moving core with a motion of the valve member. A bellows surrounds the valve shaft to form a cylindrical inner space between the valve shaft and itself. The bellows is subjected to both positive and negative pressures to extend and shrink in accordance with the motions of the valve member and the moving core. An inner volume of the inner space increasing and decreasing in accordance with extending and shrinking operations of the cylindrical bellows portion. The opening of the bellows and the valve shaft form a narrow opening passage.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2006Date of Patent: September 22, 2009Assignee: Denso CorporationInventor: Shigeto Tsuge

Patent number: 7578310Abstract: A pressure controller device includes a housing accommodating a precision pressure regulator incorporating a first diaphragm operable upon a main valve provided between an inlet and an outlet in the housing. The regulator further includes a second diaphragm operable upon a flapper-nozzle arrangement to set the pressure of the working fluid discharged through the device. The housing further includes a resiliently loaded shuttle actuable by an operating handle connected thereto and externally protruding from the housing to operate the second diaphragm and the flapper-nozzle arrangement. Manual operation of the handle, and resulting linear movement of the shuttle, effects movement of the second diaphragm and the flapper-nozzle arrangement and thus by pressure fluid to operate the first diaphragm and thus the main valve. Consequential variation in the pressure of the fluid delivered by the device is thus achieved by the shuttle overriding the operation of the diaphragms and thus the valve.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2006Date of Patent: August 25, 2009Assignee: Delaney Machinerie Inc.Inventors: Roman Teliszczuk, Francois Delaney

Patent number: 7575021Abstract: A gas pressure regulator of the kind in which a valve member is spring biased to the valve-open position and is moved to the valve-closed position when upstream pressure at an outlet overcomes the spring is arranged such that gas pressure at an inlet end of the valve member 12 does not influence it in the valve-opening direction. In the embodiment of FIGS. 3 and 4 a bottom end of the valve member receives a piston-like plug. Openings in the wall of the valve member are occluded when the valve is closed. In the open position of the valve member pressure is equal all round each opening. In another embodiment of the invention a spool is provided having one enlarged end within the valve member and another outside it. Pressure on the combined surfaces of the end and the end of the valve member is equal to the pressure on the end of the spool.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2005Date of Patent: August 18, 2009Assignee: Black Market Sportz LimitedInventor: Martin Carnall

Patent number: 7571739Abstract: A condensate drain includes a body defining an interior space. An inlet opening is in fluid communication with the interior space of the body for allowing condensate to enter into the interior space, and an outlet opening is in fluid communication with the interior space of the body for allowing condensate to exit the interior space. A float is disposed in the interior space for movement within the interior space relative to the body generally along a float axis between a closed position in which the float blocks fluid communication from the inlet opening to the outlet opening and an open position in which the float permits fluid communication from the inlet opening to the outlet opening. The float is buoyant so that the float is moved to the open position by condensate as condensate fills the interior space of the body. The interior space and the float are sized and shaped so that the float is constrained to substantial alignment with the float axis.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2005Date of Patent: August 11, 2009Assignee: Steam Tech, Inc.Inventors: E. Patent number: 7568494Abstract: A vent apparatus is opened to allow free flow of fuel vapor from a vehicle fuel tank through the vent apparatus to a fuel vapor recovery canister during tank refueling until a predetermined level of liquid fuel is reached in the vent apparatus. Once refueling has been completed, the vent apparatus is closed to block or limit further flow of liquid fuel to the vent apparatus. At the same time, fuel vapor discharge passageways in the vent apparatus that had been closed once the fuel tank had been filled to a predetermined capacity with liquid fuel are reopened so that fuel vapor can flow freely from the fuel tank to the canister even though the volume or height of liquid fuel in the fuel tank has not decreased since the tank was filled during refueling.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2006Date of Patent: August 4, 2009Assignee: Stant Manufacturing Inc.Inventor: Jeffrey E. Patent number: 7568502Abstract: A coupling (110) comprising a pair of female couplers (116) each independently movable within a respective housing bore (114) among an operating position, a release position, and a coupling position. When a female coupler (116) is moved to the coupling position, a stop member (136) moves the plunger of a pressure relief valve (124) to an open position to allow fluid to be released from the female coupler (116) prior to coupling a male coupler thereto. A cam member (126), which is used to move the respective female coupler (116) from the operating position to the release position, can move away from the plunger when the female coupler (116) is in the coupling position as the pressure relief valve (124) is held open by the stop member (136).Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2005Date of Patent: August 4, 2009Assignee: Parker-Hannifin CorporationInventor: Timothy T. Patent number: 7565914Abstract: A control stop for a flush valve for a urinal or toilet fixture includes a housing defining a flow chamber divided by a valve seat into inlet and outlet sections. A valve structure is biased toward the valve seat by a spring applying a valve closing spring force. The housing is sealed by a diaphragm, and the diaphragm covers the movable valve structure, isolating it from water flowing through the housing. The diaphragm does not impede valve structure movement, and the closing spring force establishes a threshold water supply pressure for opening the control stop during increasing pressure following a no or low supply pressure condition. A plurality of control stops may supply a bank of flush valves and fixtures, and open in a cascading sequence during increasing pressure as a result of having springs with different closing spring forces.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2006Date of Patent: July 28, 2009Assignee: Sloan Valve CompanyInventor: Dwight N.
