Abstract: An immproved lid assembly for roll-off sludge containers is provided wher the lid assembly is supported by oppositely disposed lip portions which extend longitudinally along each side of an opening formed in an upper side of the sludge container. The lid assembly comprises a plurality of lid members and a roller assembly connected to each of the lid members so that the lid members can be selectively moved between a first position and a second position relative to the opening of the sludge container. In the first position the lid members are telescopically disposed in adjacent lid members, thus providing access to selected portions of the opening in the sludge container. In the second position, the lid members are extended and close off the opening in the sludge container.

Abstract: A container (1) has a flexible wall portion with one opening (2) covered by a resealable cover (3). The cover is held at its ends (5) to the wall and includes a return bend (7) to reduce the risk that sealing and opening of the bag will tear the wall portion.

Abstract: A tamper-indicating plastic closure includes a plastic closure cap having a top wall portion, and a depending cylindrical skirt portion, and an annular pilfer band depending from the skirt portion. The pilfer band includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced flexible tabs, and an annular interference bead, with the arrangement configured to provide two modes of tamper-indicating interaction with an associated container. In order to facilitate high-speed application of the closure to a container, each of the flexible tabs includes a relatively thick central portion, operative during the second mode of tamper-indication, and an adjacent base portion of relatively reduced thickness for enhanced flexibility.

Abstract: A fuel cap is disclosed which is particularly effective in not only addressing the problem of permitting reliable relief pressure, but also in providing adequate sealing for varying environmental conditions, such as extreme pressure, temperature and swelling. The cap includes a plug member having at its lower end an elastomer sealing member integrally molded into a groove that extends around the periphery of the cap. Moreover, the sealing member is uniquely oblong shaped such that with increasing internal pressure within the tank the sealing member is deformed such as to assist in the sealing.

Abstract: A reclosable plastic bag including grip strips of a plurality of spaced apart ridges extending generally parallel to one another over the width of the bag on opposed lips of the bag, wherein the ridges are characterized in cross-section by a lower generally triangularly-shaped portion and by an upper bulbous portion defined generally at an apex of the lower generally triangularly-shaped portion.

Abstract: A packing box made by folding a sheet material, and comprised of a body portion, a bottom portion at one end, and a cap portion at an opposite end, said cap portion being folded into four cap panels and four end panels, said end panels being folded up outwards and overlapped on said cap panels respectively, said cap panels being cut into four blocking panels, wherein twisting said cap panels and end panels downwards in one direction causes said blocking panels to be intersected and overlapped one another in blocking up the top opening of the packing box; twisting said cap panels and end panels upwards in an opposite direction causes said blocking panels to be separated from one another permitting said top opening to be opened.

Abstract: A blow molded container having a break-away measuring and dispensing cup. In the disclosed embodiments, the cup is formed during molding from a web extending along a parting line of the blow-molded container body. The web has a weakened region which detachably connects the cup to the container. The cup can be re-attached either on the container or its cap in a non-use stowage position.

Abstract: A child resistant closure adapted to be used with a container to provide a child resistant package comprising a closure having a base wall and a peripheral skirt with internal threads adapted to engage complementary threads on the container. The closure is provided with a plurality of circumferentially spaced flexible fins which frictionally engage the apex only of an annular bead on the container to provide resistance to closure back off in order to resist unthreading of the closure from the container. The closure is to be provided with a tab which is engageable with a projection on the container to prevent unthreading of the closure except when the tab is depressed. In another form, a cylindrical surface on the skirt frictionally engages solely the apex of the annular bead on the container. The cylindrical surface may be a continuous surface or a series of closely spaced annular serrations and alternating fine grooves.

Abstract: Anti-splash paint cover for use on standard paint cans that reseal the paint can without causing paint which has collected in the paint sealing rim to splash or coat the sides of the can during the recovering process. The invention is a molded urethane plastic cover that can be installed or removed without the use of tools. The cover fits tightly by creating a slightly negative pressure within the can. The cover is easily reusable as the paint adhering to the inside cover can be left to dry, after which the cover is merely twisted to cause the paint to flake off.

Abstract: The invention relates to a closure for closing a vessel for holding liquid such as a fuel tank or the like. The closure includes a cylindrical, cup-shaped base body having an internal thread. The base wall of the base body has an inner wall surface on which a centrally aligned annular wall is formed. A flat sealing ring is arranged between the annular wall and the cylindrical wall. The sealing ring is arranged so as to have radial play with respect to the annular wall and a radially projecting insert is attached to the base wall of the base body. The insert has a side facing toward the base wall and includes a centering ring on this side which coacts with the annular wall to align the insert with respect to the base body. At least one attachment element is arranged within the centering ring and bridges the gap between the insert and the base wall. The insert is fixed to the base wall with the attachment element.

Abstract: A cover 10 for a waste disposal container 12 is disclosed. The cover 10 includes a body configured to cover an opening 68 defined by a waste disposal container 12. The body 14 has an orifice 20 therethrough for permitting access to a waste disposal container 12 upon which the cover 10 is placed. A lid 26 is threadably removably attachable to the body 14 for blocking the orifice 20 and preventing access to a waste disposal container 12 upon which the cover 10 is placed. A plurality of posts 36,38,40,42 are provided on the top 16 of the planar body 14 for releasably holding the lid 26 in a fixed storage position on the body when the lid 26 is not in its operative position of the body.

Abstract: A keg body for retaining draft beer substantially has adiabatic structure, in which draft beer filled in the keg body is kept cool. A part of the keg body is provided with a face which is not heat-insulated and this face is utilized as a cooling face. In case of necessity, beer is cooled from the outside through the cooling face to keep cool draft beer inside the keg body.

The lid is constructed of thermoplastic by blow-molding.

Abstract: There is disclosed herein a flexible bag in which the back panel is defined by inner and outer overlapping sections that overlap to form a back seam. The outer section defines a removable section which has a first perforation generally parallel to the back seam and an edge that is generally parallel to the bag bottom and intersects the first perforation. Alternatively, a second perforation may be provided along the edge. The outer panel is about as wide as the bag and the removable section is less than one-half the width of the outer panel. The first perforation is positioned between the back seam and side edge of the removable section. The first perforation may be adjacent the back seam and the second perforation is adjacent the bag bottom.A blank for forming said bag from a web is also disclosed.

The first part (1) of said cap is annular-shaped and exhibits on its external lateral surface a plurality of projections (5), while the second part comprises a screw-up (2) inferiorly to which is connected a breakable seal (4) by means of easy-breaking webs (6); the cap exhibits a plurality of teeth (7), arranged parallel to the webs (6), which, on first screwing-on of the cap on to the bottle, are inserted between the projections (5) of the first part (1) and bear the forces which are generated during the screwing-on; since the teeth (7) are not connected to the breakable seal, the teeth (7) do not obstruct the detachment between the bottle-top and the breakable seal (4) when the cap is first unscrewed.

Abstract: This invention relates to an explosion suppressive foil inserted within a container charged with inflammable or explosive liquid. This explosion suppressive foil is made of an aluminum alloy foil substrate having a number of slant surfaces having cylindrical walls are arranged side by side so as to be adjoined together thereon, and a circular hole is defined on every annular slant surface.

Abstract: A thin-walled, wide mouth molded plastic container is provided with a tamper evident band initially molded as a straight-walled cylinder spaced outwardly of the lip of the container and connected thereto by a frangible horizontal bridge. The upper edge of the cylindrical band extends above the level of the container lip. Subsequent to molding and preferably before capping, the band is curled inward by application of a curling tool. The container lid is axially applied, the outer edge of the lid displacing the curled band outward. The resilience of the band and bridge permits outward deflection and immediate restoration of the curl to its initial position. The curl prevents removal of the lid without fracture of the bridge and removal of the tamper-evident band.

Abstract: A portable filing device comprises a bag which can be opened out to be flat, a hook for suspending the bag, a spine extending across the bag, two straps hanging from the ends of the spine, and a series of hanging pouches spaced along the straps. Each pouch is attached to the straps at the ends of its top edge, and has an aperture along its top edge. The pouches are detachable. For transportation, the pouches are gathered into a stack, with the straps forming concertina folds, and the bag is folded around the stack and fastened shut. The device, among other applications, enables travellers to keep papers and belongings in order. A labelling means comprises an elongate stiffly flexible label or label holder which by bowing can be inserted in or removed from an undercut seating.
