  • Patent number: 10299001
Abstract: There is provided a method including rendering a gating media content segment presentation, providing a user interface to a user viewing the gating media content segment presentation, and determining two user interaction indices, including an under-threshold index and an over-threshold index, associated with the gating media content segment presentation. The method determines the under-threshold index using a first user interaction data measured before a threshold event and determines the over-threshold index using a second user interaction data measured after the threshold event, the threshold event occurs after beginning the rendering of the gating media content segment presentation and makes a user interactive mechanism selectable, the second user interaction data includes data corresponds to a user selection of the user interactive mechanism, and one of the under-threshold index and the over-threshold index is calculated using a user interaction with the user interface using an input device.

  • Patent number: 10289300
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing animated visual feedback in a manner that increases the likelihood that the feedback will be seen. When a touch-based interaction with a user interface element is detected, a position, orientation, and/or size of the gesturing user's hand and/or digit are determined by assessing factors such as the size and shape of the touched region on the touchscreen, the position of the user interface element relative to the edges of the touchscreen, the orientation of the touchscreen device, and other criteria. An eclipsed region of the touchscreen may be determined, and a starting coordinate for the animated visual feedback may be determined based on the eclipsed region. The animated feedback may be drawn for a determined duration, and may be reversed or erased if the touch-based interaction ceases before the duration is completed.

  • Patent number: 10274926
Abstract: A control system, a safety system, etc., within a process plant may each use one or more state machine function blocks that can be easily integrated into a function block diagram programming environment. Such a state machine function block may include one or more inputs, which may cause a state machine implemented by the state machine function block to identify a next state as well as one or more transition actions to perform in accordance with transitioning from a current state to the next state. Configuration data associated with the transition actions may be retrieved from a database based on the current and next states of the state machine and at least one of the inputs. The state machine function block may also include one or more outputs that are generated based on the state transition.

  • Patent number: 10222968
Abstract: An image display control apparatus includes a display controller, a determination unit, and an execution unit. When an image displayed on a display having a display area and a touch panel disposed on the display area is specified through the touch panel, the display controller performs control to display menu screens individually representing predetermined plural menu items in such a manner that a free area is provided in part of a peripheral area adjacent to the image displayed in the display area. The determination unit determines that, when specification of the image through the touch panel is followed by movement of a specified position onto a desired menu screen, the menu item represented by the desired menu screen is specified, and determines that, when the specified position is moved to the free area, a drag operation is specified. The execution unit executes a process corresponding to a determination result.

  • Patent number: 10074057
Abstract: The invention provides for a graphical user interface which provides for very simple and intuitive ways of changing single or multiple inspection parameters. The graphical display immediately shows what the monitoring or inspection result would have been if the effected change had been in place during the inspection of the last “N” parts. This retrospective graphical “look-back” invokes immediate re-inspection facilitating an estimation of what the future inspection or process monitoring results will be if future production looks similar to the recent past production. The re-inspection results are immediately shown with a combination of visualization for ease of understanding and settings optimization. The visualization also shows selected other associated data to each specific inspection for ease of tracking and optimizing production processes.
