  • Patent number: 11011043
Abstract: A set of alarm criteria for a drilling tool may be obtained. Individual alarm criterion of the set of alarm criteria may be satisfied based on the drilling tool operating with a set of operating characteristics corresponding to the individual alarm criterion. The set of alarm criteria may include two or more of a tight-hole alarm criterion, a washout alarm criterion, a packoff alarm criterion, a weight-stacking alarm criterion, a delta-torque alarm criterion, a torque alarm criterion, a rate-of-penetration alarm criterion, a reamer-tension-compression alarm criterion, a running-speed alarm criterion, a drag alarm criterion, and/or a pipe-movement alarm criterion. An alarm event corresponding to an alarm criterion may be detected based on the operating characteristic(s) of the drilling tool matching the set of operating characteristics corresponding to the alarm criterion. Responsive to detection of the alarm event, an alarm for the alarm event may be generated.

  • Patent number: 10969357
Abstract: A method of enhancing judgment of a gas detector contains: dividing a voltage difference between an output signal voltage and an environmental detection voltage of the gas detector into several parts. Each of multiple detecting processes of the gas detector is captured by a microprocessor at the environmental detection voltage for ten times in each microsecond, and a predetermined detection time of each detecting process is 10 seconds. When the environmental detection voltage changes linearly, the predetermined detection time of each detecting process is shorten to 1/10 second/per time. After three successive detection processes change linearly, a warning device is started. Otherwise, the microprocessor compensates the output signal voltage and recovers the predetermined detection time when the environmental detection voltage changes so as to maintain the voltage difference at a certain value.

  • Patent number: 10922947
Abstract: A ship includes a controller that performs wireless communications with a portable machine possessed by a passenger and a lanyard stop switch. When a lanyard code coupled to the passenger is pulled out, the lanyard stop switch operates to stop an engine of an outboard motor and stop the ship. When the controller detects that the lanyard stop switch operates, that is, detects a possibility that the passenger has fallen overboard, the controller starts wireless communications with the portable machine. The controller determines whether or not a rescue signal needs to be transmitted in accordance with conditions regarding a power density and a frequency of a radio wave of the wireless communications as predetermined conditions for estimating a situation of the passenger.

  • Patent number: 10891842
Abstract: A command node designates a group of monitor beacons from wireless ID nodes in different locations in a shipping container where the group further includes a remote monitor beacon located outside a reception range of the command node. The command node programmatically configures another ID node to be a dedicated bridging node providing a dedicated intermediary communication link between the command node and the remote monitor beacon. The command node receives a respective broadcast signal from the monitor beacons (directly or indirectly through the bridging node), monitors those signals for any unanticipated ceased broadcasting, identifies an unresponsive subset of monitor beacons from such monitoring, and detecting an environmental anomaly when the size of the unresponsive subset exceed a threshold setting. The command node then generates an alert notification related to the anomaly and initiates a mediation response for the anomaly by transmitting the alert notification to an external transceiver.
