    Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for establishing data communication at a network device. The method includes identifying a cellular network by the network device. After that, the network device sends a request to an MSA for an embedded subscriber identification module (eSIM) profile of the cellular network. The MSA may or may not have an eSIM profile of the cellular network available. When an eSIM profile of the cellular network is available, the network device receives the eSIM profile information from the MSA. The network device then sends a request for data communication access to the cellular network using the eSIM profile information to obtain data communication access through the cellular network. The network device may comprise at least one universal integrated circuit card (UICC) and/or embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC).

    Abstract: A system and method providing Proof of Location or Proof of Location and Velocity consensus in a blockchain network using radio frequency (RF) signals. Nodes validate the location of other nodes in the network using PING-PONG round trip signal propagation time to determine maximum distances to other nodes. These maximum distances are then shared between nodes, whereupon the nodes use computational techniques to resolve validated, geospatial location of the other nodes. The sharing of measured maximum distances to local nodes is a form of Proof of Location consensus. The validated geospatial locations (and velocities) of local nodes are then written to the blockchain, creating a time history for each node. This information may be used by the blockchain operating rules to implement any number of security and other operational functions. The ability of the invention to operate without need for time synchronization between nodes is an advantage of the system.

The system may send requests to a mobile application of a device to provide information that can reliably be assumed to be coming from that particular device, such as a state of the device and/or a user's response to push notifications. In some cases, the authentication processes may be based on quantity and quality of matches between certain metadata or attributes expected to be received from a given device as compared to the metadata or attributes received.

The distribution network further includes geostationary earth orbit (GEO) spacecraft in communication with a number of ground gateways. The GEO spacecraft can receive forward communication traffic including radio-frequency (RF) and/or optical data streams uplinked from the ground gateways and can convert the received forward communication traffic into a forward aggregated traffic. The GEO spacecraft can further optically downlink the forward aggregated traffic to LEO spacecraft in a LEO constellation that is in line of sight of the GEO spacecraft. The forward aggregated traffic is then disaggregated among and received by the LEO spacecraft in the LEO constellation.

The mobile device determines distance values between the devices. When the mobile device determines that a distance value satisfies a threshold value, the mobile device visually indicates that it is within a second zone of proximity to the peripheral device. As a result of the mobile device receiving data from the peripheral device using a second communication protocol, the mobile device determines that it is located within a third zone of proximity to the peripheral device, and performs an action.
