Patent number: 12382276Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for establishing data communication at a network device. The method includes identifying a cellular network by the network device. After that, the network device sends a request to an MSA for an embedded subscriber identification module (eSIM) profile of the cellular network. The MSA may or may not have an eSIM profile of the cellular network available. When an eSIM profile of the cellular network is available, the network device receives the eSIM profile information from the MSA. The network device then sends a request for data communication access to the cellular network using the eSIM profile information to obtain data communication access through the cellular network. The network device may comprise at least one universal integrated circuit card (UICC) and/or embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC).Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2022Date of Patent: August 5, 2025Assignee: Pismo Labs Technology LimitedInventors: Uzair Ahmed Chughtai, Man Kit Kwan, Azim Ul Islam, Ka Ho Ho, Yee Ting Tse

Patent number: 12335739Abstract: A system and method providing Proof of Location or Proof of Location and Velocity consensus in a blockchain network using radio frequency (RF) signals. Nodes validate the location of other nodes in the network using PING-PONG round trip signal propagation time to determine maximum distances to other nodes. These maximum distances are then shared between nodes, whereupon the nodes use computational techniques to resolve validated, geospatial location of the other nodes. The sharing of measured maximum distances to local nodes is a form of Proof of Location consensus. The validated geospatial locations (and velocities) of local nodes are then written to the blockchain, creating a time history for each node. This information may be used by the blockchain operating rules to implement any number of security and other operational functions. The ability of the invention to operate without need for time synchronization between nodes is an advantage of the system.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2024Date of Patent: June 17, 2025Assignee: Space Telecommunications, Inc.Inventors: Scott Hasbrouck, Tae Lim Oh

Patent number: 12232017Abstract: A system described herein may dynamically determine whether a User Equipment (“UE”) is authorized to access a given Local Area Data Network (“LADN”) based on dynamically determined factors, such as temporal factors, network load factors, registration or de-registration of the UE for the LADN, etc. Updates to such polices may be further used to determine whether the UE is authorized to access the LADN. Thus, the providing of services associated with a LADN may be more dynamic and based on additional factors than a determination of whether UE subscription information (e.g., as provided by a UE information repository) indicates that a given UE has subscribed to the LADN.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2021Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Violeta Cakulev, Sudhakar Reddy Patil, Maqbool Chauhan, Madhan Muralimanohar, Lalit R.
