Abstract: A component in an advanced advertising system includes logic to arrange storage in a machine memory according to a data policy enforcement hierarchy defined in a digital file (policy file); logic to read the policy file from machine memory; logic to apply an arrangement of the policy file read from machine memory to control modifications to content of a received digital message requesting ad placement data; and logic to modify the received digital message according to the policy file.
Abstract: A processing module may be centralized and coupled to multiple inputs from customers, and behave deterministically, e.g., programmed to depend on state, inputs and outputs. The rapid speed of automated trading systems implementing such a centralized, deterministic module, where all users can access a central limit order object, can quickly result in an object state that does not reflect a true consensus or desirable state. Accordingly the resulting problem is a problem arising in computer systems due in part to the high speeds of computer systems. The solutions disclosed herein are, in one embodiment, implemented as automatic responses and actions by a computing system.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein generate a segment of tracked entities from a collection of profiles merged from different sources. Individuals and other entities use multiple electronic device and online accounts. Options for merging authentication-based profiles and device-based profiles of tracked entities are presented on a user interface accessible to a tracking entity. Systems and methods receive a selection of the options, the selection specifying criteria for merging authentication-based profiles with device-based profiles. Upon generating a collection of profiles by merging the authentication-based and device-based profiles based on the received options, a targeted segment of tracked entities is generated by applying defined segment rules to the collection of profiles.
