  • Patent number: 9687668
Abstract: The Body Cavity Cancer Treatment System achieves extremely uniform temperatures inside the tissue of the body cavity thereby realizing optimal efficacy in enhancing operation of the chemotherapy agent while avoiding harm or pain to the patient. This is accomplished by the inclusion of “target particles”, such as nano-particles, into the body cavity along with the chemotherapy agent to enable the use of an externally generated energy field to cause heating of the chemotherapy agent and the surrounding tissue of the body cavity by the activation of the nano-particles. The proper selection of the applied energy field enables precise control of the heat generated by the movement of the nano-particles.

  • Patent number: 9682247
Abstract: The body cavity cancer treatment apparatus generates the magnetic field for use in a combined “low temperature hyperthermia” and ionizing radiation and/or chemotherapy cancer treatment protocol. Unlike other competing systems, the body cavity cancer treatment apparatus does not directly kill or ablate the cancer cells with killing temperatures rather, the body cavity cancer treatment apparatus stresses the cancer and cancer stem cells by keeping them at a nominal 42° C. for some period of time via the heating of nano-particles that have been infused into the bladder, using the generated magnetic field.

  • Patent number: 9649502
Abstract: Described herein, in certain embodiments, are devices and methods for modulating the electrical activity of a brain in a targeted manner using a weak magnetic field, generally field with a strength of less than about 100 Gauss. The magnetic field is varied over time in a periodic manner, generally with a frequency tuned to specifically affect one of the intrinsic frequencies of the brain, optionally the alpha frequency. The “Low Field Magnetic Stimulation” devices and methods described herein modulate the electrical activity of a brain without requiring medication. Methods and devices described herein gently “tune” the brain and affect mood, focus, and cognition of human subjects.

  • Patent number: 9575000
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an apparatus and a method for detecting first and subsequent drops of follicle fluid falling into a test tube during an aspiration process. A pair of optical devices (emitter and detector) is positioned at opposite side of the test tube. The emitter emits a beam of light towards the detector. As soon as a drop of the follicle fluid falls into the test tube, a signal processing circuitry detects a change in intensity of the light received by the detector. Further, the intensity of beam is compared with a pre-defined intensity. Based on the comparison, if the difference between the pre-defined intensity and intensity is greater than a pre-defined threshold value, the signal processing circuitry generates an electrical signal indicating the detection of the first drop of the follicle fluid falling into the test tube.

  • Patent number: 9549267
Abstract: An implantable magnetic transducer arrangement is described for a hearing implant in a recipient patient. An implant housing hermetically encapsulates an interior housing volume and is fixedly attached to skull bone beneath the skin of the patient. A magnetic transducer is located within the housing volume and includes multiple pie-shaped permanent magnets wherein adjacent magnets have different direction magnetic polarities, and one or more suspension elements that resiliently couple adjacent magnets to allow their relative movement. The magnetic transducer is operatively coupled to an external magnetic drive component above the skin of the patient to form an oscillating system that develops a mechanical stimulation signal to the implant housing for delivery by bone conduction of the skull bone as an audio signal to the cochlea of the patient.
