Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide techniques for duty cycle correction of clock signals. An input clock signal passes through a pair of output transistors, which provides an output clock signal based on the input clock signal. A duty cycle sensor generates a first correction signal based on the output clock signal. The first correction signal is at least partially opposite of the output clock signal. A duty cycle corrector generates a second correction signal based on the first correction signal. The duty cycle corrector includes two or more transistors for generating the second correction signal. The second correction signal is applied to the output clock signal. There are other embodiments as well.

Abstract: There is provided a method and corresponding arrangements for scheduling users with different Guard Interval, GI, length for multi-user transmission in a wireless communication system, where each of the users is associated with a GI length. The proposed technology involves grouping at least a subset of the users into at least two groups according to GI length for transmission in allocated transmission opportunity, TXOP, resources. In this way, by dynamically scheduling at least part of the users for group-wise transmission according to GI length, the spectral efficiency can be improved. The proposed technology allows for higher scheduling flexibility when different users have different GI length requirements.
Abstract: The disclosed systems and methods for conducted massive MIMO array testing uses an efficient method of utilizing hardware resources for emulating signals from a massive MIMO base station transceiver to a MIMO mobile unit as dictated by a channel model; and also for emulating signals from a MIMO mobile unit to a massive MIMO BS transceiver, as dictated by a channel model. The system uses a phase matrix combiner to emulate the angular behavior of the propagation using virtual probes, combined with a radio channel emulator to create the temporal, multipath, and correlation behavior of the propagation. Using a phase matrix function increases the number of antenna elements that can be utilized in a massive MIMO array emulation while keeping the required number of fading channels within the radio channel emulator at a reduced number, thus forming a cost effective, yet realistic test system for massive MIMO testing.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for processing a signal that is transmitted with a reduced peak to average power ratio are described. The processing includes applying (1650) a first type of symbol constellation extension projection to at least one symbol in the constellation if it is determined that a type of constellation is a non-square constellation, the first type of symbol constellation extension projection having an outward angular region from an original position for the at least one symbol in the constellation, the outward angular region defined by a value for an angle between a first boundary and a second boundary for the outward angular region.
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting and estimating parameters for a phase-modulated signal in a continuous manner with near-optimal performance. The methods generate these estimates using streaming (or on-the-fly) calculations and so are suitable for hardware-based implementation. These estimates can be used as part of standard pulse descriptor words for radar and other pulsed or continuous signals that are reported by an electronic warfare receiver to a processing and display system. Also, the methods can be computed using sub-sampling methods in order to reduce overall computations.
Abstract: Within many applications impulse radio based ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) transmission offers significant benefits for very short range high data rate communications when compared with existing standards and protocols. In many of these applications the main design goals are very low power consumption and very low complexity design for easy integration and cost reduction. Digitally programmable IR-UWB transmitters using an on-off keying modulation scheme on a 0.13 microns CMOS process operating on 1.2V supply and yielding power consumption as low as 0.9 mW at a 10 Mbps data rate with dynamic power control are enabled. The IR-UWB transmitters support new frequency hopping techniques providing more efficient spectrum usage and dynamic allocation of the spectrum when transmitting in highly congested frequency bands. Biphasic scrambling is also introduced for spectral line reduction.
