  • Patent number: 8062044
Abstract: A port terminator includes an outer nut, which may be either electrically conductive or non-electrically conductive, and an electrically conductive ground insert. A portion of the ground insert captures a ground portion of a termination resistor, while a deformable portion of the ground insert makes electrical contact with a connection end of an equipment port when the port terminator is screwed onto the equipment port. The deformable portion can take the form of a flexible brim or a plurality of petals. The petals preferably alternate between flat petals and biased petals. The ground insert permits the port terminator to make a uniform RF seal on an equipment port even with a range of tightening torques.

  • Patent number: 8025535
Abstract: A socket connector includes an insulating housing, at least one terminal set and a switch module. The insulating housing defines an inserting hole. The terminal set and the switch module are respectively received in the insulating housing. The switch module includes a fixed terminal, a movable terminal and an insulating guider. The insulating guider is connected to the moveable terminal and electronically insulated from the moveable terminal for preventing signal transmitted by the socket connector from influence. Because the movable terminal is molded with the insulating guider, the strength of the switch module of the audio socket connector will be improved. Since, the audio socket connector has strong structure and high reliability.

  • Patent number: 8025517
Abstract: One or more saw tooth shaped flexible ribs in between a connector interface provide asymmetric sliding resistance and a one sided sealing effect. The asymmetric sliding resistance provides for low frictional engaging resistance and for a high disengaging resistance of the connector interface. The one sided sealing effect provides in conjunction with an interface cavity for back flow resistance into the cavity during disengagement movement in the interface and for a vacuum effect that assists in opposing the disengagement movement. The flexible ribs may be monolithically fabricated together with the entire housing of the respective connector.

  • Patent number: 8026623
Abstract: A wind turbine generator, an active damping method thereof, and a windmill tower in which vibrations of the wind turbine generator itself or the windmill tower can be reduced at low cost are provided. The acceleration due to vibrations of a nacelle is detected with an accelerometer attached to the nacelle. In an active damping unit, a pitch angle of windmill blades for generating a thrust on the windmill blades so as to cancel out the vibrations of the nacelle is calculated on the basis of the acceleration, and the pitch angle is output as a blade-pitch-angle command ??* for damping. On the other hand, in a pitch-angle control unit, a pitch angle of the windmill blades for controlling the output to be a predetermined value is calculated, and the pitch angle is output as a blade-pitch-angle command ?* for output control. The blade-pitch-angle command ??* for damping is combined with the blade-pitch-angle command ?* for output control using a subtracter.

  • Patent number: 8018206
Abstract: With an aim of minimizing excitation losses in electric machines having electrically excited and displaceable secondary parts, bi-directional inductive transmission of energy is carried out by a rotating inductive transmission device. An associated electronic system for the bi-directional transmission of power and/or energy, is provided. Advantageously, super-conductive inductance is present wherein the flow is introduced. It is possible to excite by supplying energy to the stator and to also de-excite by removing energy without converting the power into heat on the rotor by applying a bipolar tension.

  • Patent number: 8011979
Abstract: A terminal strip fixed to a plating machine has a main strip, a plurality of auxiliary strips extended from a side of the main strip, a plurality of terminals extended from a lateral side of the auxiliary strip. A free end of the terminal has an elastic arm extended opposite to the main strip, a free end of the elastic arm is extended beyond the auxiliary strip and forms a contacting portion. When the main strip is pulled for plating the contacting portions along a direction parallel with the main strip, it is feasible to try to avoid the other part of the elastic arm being plated, so as to save the gold and cut down the plating cost.
