  • Patent number: 11229254
Abstract: A system and method for a protection helmet which has exterior moveable tiles to move upon impact and then retract to their original placements. The system prolongs the impact time by de-accelerating it and minimizing its damaging effects by spreading out the impact force over a larger surface area. A system and method for a helmet's face mask to absorb impact and return back to its original state whether impacted on its bars, interior/exterior assembly, or any part of the face mask. A system and method for a football helmet's padding to be multi-layered and have multiple ancillary cavities that compress and retract back to their original state.

  • Patent number: 11214905
Abstract: A system and method for forming synthetic/artificial grass or turf products in which a series of tufts of artificial/synthetic grass filaments or yarns are formed in a backing material with various graphic pattern effects being formed therewith. The system generally will include at least one needle bar having at least one row of needles mounted along a tufting zone and reciprocated through the backing to a desired penetration depth, and will present a desired set or group of yarns to a series of pattern pixels or stitch areas. A series of level cut loop loopers or hooks will be aligned with and will engage the needles in order to form tufts of yarns in the backing material. Clips of the level cut loop loopers will be selectively controlled to control the retention of selected ones of the yarns presented at each pattern pixel. The remaining, non-selected yarns generally are not retained at the pattern pixels, and can be formed as lower pile tufts or removed from the backing material.

  • Patent number: 11197509
Abstract: An ambidextrous or hand-specific glove including a wrist region, a palm region, and a digit region. The glove may be fabricated of nitrile rubber that is free of or essentially free of zinc, sulfur and accelerators to reduce allergic reactions in populations required to frequently wear protective gloves. A band region that partially or fully encircles a user's finger knuckles may be provided for easier finger bending. Texturing may be provided on glove surfaces that are used to grip articles. The fingertip regions on the front surface of the index and middle finger regions may be un-textured or smooth to enable a user to take a patient's pulse. These fingertip regions may be of reduced or smaller diameter and circumference so as to pull the glove material tightly around the tips of the user's finger and thereby applying pressure thereto so that even a faint pulse in a patient may be detected.

  • Patent number: 11191316
Abstract: A collapsible helmet may include a number of chassis segments that are mechanically coupled to one another, where at least some of the chassis segments are collapsible into another chassis segment for storage, and where the chassis segments are expandable so that the helmet is suitable for wearing on a user's head for protection thereof. For example, certain aspects include a three-piece collapsible helmet that has interlocking fingers. In this manner, when the helmet is closed, the interlocking fingers allow the helmet to conveniently fold or collapse into a compact form. Moreover, when the helmet is opened, the interlocking fingers may provide a desired head coverage for protection of a wearer.

  • Patent number: 11193736
Abstract: A robot system designed to provide non-invasive mitigation of ballistic safety risks. The robot system includes a robotic device and a safety retention suit, which covers or encloses the movable components or parts of the robotic device. The safety retention suit is formed of a fabric sheet of material chosen, in part, for its flexibility as well as durability to allow the part or the component of the robot enclosed within the suit to move freely. The safety retention suit includes one-to-many strands, threads, or cables of a material chosen to move with the flexible material of the suit when the enclosed component of the robotic device is moving during standard operations. When a mechanical failure occurs, the cables of the suit stretch but, as an overall unit, do not break so as to retain any portions of the covered or enclosed robotic part within the suit.

  • Patent number: 11178931
Abstract: A protective helmet including a visor attached to the external sides of the helmet shell. The shell includes substantially flat mount surfaces on each side which correspond with substantially flat portions on the respective ends of the visor. A fastener hole on the shell aligns with an access hole on the visor so that the two elements can be releasably fastened. The access hole provides space for a fastener to protrude out from the surface of the shell, allowing the visor to sit flush against the shell when fastened together. The helmet may include chin straps which are attached to the inner surface of the shell. The helmet may also include a catch strip on the front of the visor which protrudes from the visor such that it can prevent a cloth helmet cover (sometimes used in games such as Roller Derby) from easily sliding off the helmet.

  • Patent number: 11162195
Abstract: In one aspect, a method of manufacturing a protective textile may include steps of (a) twisting a first yarn with a tungsten filament; and (b) using a second yarn to cover the yarn-tungsten product generated in step (a). The yarn generated in step (b) is further twisted with an elastic spandex. In one embodiment, the first yarn is selected from a group of Nylon, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), cotton yarn, bamboo fiber and Tencel. In another embodiment, a Polyethylene (PE) fiber is the second yarn, and the third yarn may include Nylon, PET or PE. The protective textile is advantageous because it is light, thin, soft and highly cut resistant. Also, it has great electrical conductivity and chemical stability, and it is not easy to deform after washing.
