  • Patent number: 9513848
Abstract: System and methods for storage and access of job ticket values. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a job ticket controller that receives a print job and an associated job ticket, and processes the job ticket to identify a group of logical pages that share common attribute values. The job ticket controller caches a shared copy of the attribute values in memory for the group, and identifies static attribute values and dynamic attribute values in the shared copy. Responsive to a request to update a dynamic attribute value of a logical page that belongs to the group, the job ticket controller copies the dynamic attribute values to a separate copy, performs the update, and then provides the separate copy and the static attribute values of the shared copy in response to a request of attribute information of the logical page.

  • Patent number: 9489961
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling the shaping of encoding noise during the ADPCM encoding of a digital audio input signal. The noise-shaping is carried out through the use of feedback that comprises filtering noise. The method includes the following steps: obtaining a parameter for indicating a high spectral dynamic range of the signal, the parameter indicating a risk of instability of the feedback; detecting a risk of instability by comparing the indication parameter to at least one predetermined threshold; limiting the feedback in the event that a risk of instability is detected; and gradually reactivating the feedback over a predetermined number of frames subsequent to the current frame for which the feedback is limited. Also provided is an encoder with feedback, including a control module implementing the control method as described.

  • Patent number: 9460374
Abstract: A conversion area in a storage of a printer is determined to accommodate slips of different sizes. Slips are conveyed along a path that is guided on one side and open on the other. A detector detects the length of the slip in the conveyance direction. Dimensions of the conversion area are determined based on the detected length of the slip, and a recording range of a recording head is also determined. Font data is read from memory based on font code that is received from a control device and written in the conversion area per line unit in the order in which the font code is received and in a direction corresponding to toward the open side of the conveyance path and away from the guided side of the conveyance path. The recording head is controlled to record the font data in the conversion area on the slip.

  • Patent number: 9408081
Abstract: Data identifying a plurality of wireless coverage areas in a region may be obtained. The data may identify geographic locations of the wireless coverage areas. Possibly based on the data, the wireless coverage areas may be arranged into a plurality of mutually exclusive tracking area groups. Each of the tracking area groups may include multiple wireless coverage areas and may be identified by respective unique tracking area identifiers. The tracking area groups may form a geographically-defined sequence across the region. A numerical sequence of wireless coverage area identifiers may be assigned to the wireless coverage areas in the region, one wireless coverage area identifier per wireless coverage area. The wireless coverage areas of the tracking area groups may be provisioned to use the assigned wireless coverage area identifiers.

  • Patent number: 9402152
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile network (10) organized into a plurality of location areas and service areas gathering a geographically homogeneous set of cells of the mobile network, with gathering of the femtocells into specific additional service areas. The emission of an SMS from a user equipment (14) coupled to a femtocell (30) triggers a location step, with communication to a location platform of the network of a rough location comprising service area codes SAC and location area codes LAC corresponding to the femtocell, and of a fine location comprising unique data, such as IP address and INSEE code, of identification of the Internet box (20) associated to the femtocell. These data are then transmitted to the platform by the SMS management center. The femtocells may hence operate in open mode, each femtocell being able to be coupled to any user equipment registered with the mobile network operator.
