  • Patent number: 9602065
Abstract: In a semiconductor device, received signals of different frequency bands are input selectively to low noise amplifiers. A plurality of primary inductors are coupled between differential output nodes of the respective low noise amplifiers. A secondary inductor is provided commonly for the primary inductors, and magnetically coupled to the primary inductors. A demodulator converts a received signal transmitted from one of the primary inductors to the secondary inductor by electromagnetic induction, into a signal of a low frequency.

  • Patent number: 9602144
Abstract: The present invention is related to a method and apparatus for processing multiple wireless communication services in a receiver. A receiver receives more than one wireless communication service simultaneously via a wireless interface. Each service is transmitted via a different carrier frequency band. The multiple received carrier signals are down-converted to an intermediate frequency (IF) band using a mixer and a local oscillator (LO). The LO frequencies are set such that the down-converted IF bands of the multiple services are fallen into a single IF band.

  • Patent number: 9584232
Abstract: A computer simulates flight routes for simulated airborne transmitters across a spatial region divided into unit area tiles and over time based on actual aircraft flight plan data. The computer determines transmitter counts per tile per time interval based on the flight routes and assigns transmit parameters, including transmit message rates, to the transmitters. The computer determines transmit message rates per tile based on the transmitter counts and the transmit parameters. The computer generates, for a simulated receiver, an antenna pattern covering at least some of the tiles, and converts the transmit message rates of the covered tiles to a total effective receive message rate of interfering messages at the receiver. The computer determines a probability of successful detection of a desired message among the interfering messages at the receiver based on the effective receive message rate.

  • Patent number: 9571183
Abstract: The described technology uses a dual circularly polarized panel antenna and equal amplitude variable phase control between the two circularly polarized components to achieve a rotatable linear polarization tracking system. An example antenna system includes a plurality of antenna elements that include a plurality of polarization transducers to generate a first signal component and a second signal component from a received wave. A polarization control network applies a phase difference based on an orientation of the linear polarization of the wave with respect to the antenna system between the signal components to generate adjusted signal components. The polarization control network combines the adjusted signal components to form a composite signal that corresponds to the linear polarization of the wave. Linearly polarized transmit and receive signals may be co-polarized or cross-polarized.

  • Patent number: 9510222
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for detection of one or more interfering signals in a particular frequency spectrum. Signal characteristics may be identified for a signal of interest in the spectrum, such as a signal that is desired to be received at a wireless communications device. Based at least in part on the characteristics, one or more interference detection opportunities may be identified, during which interfering signals in the spectrum may be detected. Interference detection opportunities may include, for example, periods when the signal of interest may be absent from the particular frequency spectrum. Transmissions in the frequency spectrum may be monitored during the interference detection opportunity to determine the presence of one or more interfering signals.
