Abstract: An image forming system includes an image forming device, a reading device and a hardware processor. The image forming device includes an image former that forms an image on a sheet. The reading device includes a line sensor and a lens unit. The line sensor reads the sheet with the image formed, thereby obtaining a read image. The lens unit includes a plurality of lenses and forms an image of the sheet on the line sensor. The hardware processor identifies a sheet region of the sheet in the read image, and corrects a magnification of each subregion in a main scanning direction of the sheet region according to a characteristic of a portion in the main scanning direction of the lens unit, the portion having being used in forming an image of the subregion on the line sensor.

Abstract: A method for facilitating the configuration, resource installation, and direct printing of print jobs to a printer device from a host system that may not require installation of drivers or host software is described. The printer device is coupled to a host system via a universal serial bus (USB) interface. The printer device presents to the host system a USB mass storage profile that includes one or more smart folders. The printer device receives from the host system a data file and stores the data file in one of the one or more smart folders causing a corresponding action event to automatically be triggered in the printer device. The corresponding action events may include setting-up a printer configuration, printing a print file or image file, installing a font file or an image file, and installing a firmware upgrade.
Abstract: A nail printing apparatus is provided, which does not require a user to manipulate button operation to set user's finger or user's toe or start an image drawing operation. The apparatus provided with an image drawing unit for drawing an image on a nail of a finger or a nail of a toe and an elevation mechanism having a placing unit on which the finger or the toe is placed. The elevation mechanism moves the placing unit from a stand-by position up to an image drawing position. Abstract: The method and system allow a user to launch a client application on an web-enabled device and subsequently to navigate to an image source screen within the client application. After receiving an image source selection from the user, the client application retrieves images from the selected image source. The client application displays the retrieved images available for printing to a user, and in response to receiving a selection of an image, the client application transmits the image to a proprietary server. Moreover, upon receiving print order information, the client application additionally executes a location awareness application that determines a current location of the web-enabled device and subsequently, determines a proximal retail store to the current location of the web-enabled device. Thereafter, the remote printing system creates and transmits a print order that includes the selected image to the retail store for pickup.
