  • Patent number: 10359016
Abstract: A water separator for water contained in fuel has a water separator housing with a separator element. A water collecting chamber is arranged in operation of the water separator below the separator element. A water collecting chamber through opening fluidically connects the water collecting chamber with the separator element. A drainage through opening has a first end which leads, for draining water from the water separator, out of the water separator. A second end is connected fluidically by an overflow valve to the water collecting chamber. The overflow valve has a float closing off a connection between drainage through opening and water collecting chamber when a water filling level has not reached the overflow valve. The float has an average density of 700 kg/m3 to 1,000 kg/m3 so that the float, when the water filling level is reached, opens the connection between water collecting chamber and drainage through opening.

  • Patent number: 10351442
Abstract: The invention relates to filter-as-you-pour water filtration container systems. Such a system may include a container body, an outlet through which water within the container body may be poured and simultaneously filtered, a lid that may be releasably attachable over the container body, and a filter assembly attachable to at least one of the lid or the container body. The filter assembly may be disposed so as to be in a flow stream of the water, as the water is poured out of the container body through an outlet of the system, so that the stream of water exiting through the outlet is simultaneously filtered as it is poured from the container body. The system may further include a flow control device (e.g., a valve, grating, screen, etc.) disposed proximate (e.g., in or over) the outlet to regulate an exit flow rate of water being poured through the outlet.

  • Patent number: 10343091
Abstract: A filter element has a filter material defining a raw side and a clean side of the filter element and to be flowed through by a medium to be filtered from the raw side to the clean side. A non-return element is disposed on the filter material. The non-return element allows a return flow of the filtered medium from the clean side back to the raw side and prevents a flow of the unfiltered medium from the raw side to the clean side. A filter and a filter system with such a filter element are disclosed. The filter system has a pump to supply medium to be filtered to the filter.

  • Patent number: 10287194
Abstract: The efficiency of water disinfection can be significantly increased by supplying the ozone in combination with oxygen to an inlet of a cavitation pump. The ozone and the oxygen are turned into ultra-fine bubbles via cavitation action within the pump, facilitating the dissolution of the oxygen and ozone within the water. The water mixed with the oxygen and the ozone is subsequently supplied to a line atomizer, where the dissolution of the ozone within the mixture is completed. The combined use of the cavitation pump and the line atomizer can lead to a substantially complete dissolution of the supplied ozone within water that needs to be disinfected, allowing to easily achieve the concentration of ozone necessary for water disinfection. Due to this efficiency, the system and method described are highly scalable and suitable for water purification at water purification plants of various sizes.
