Abstract: In an infant warming device, an isolation mounting system supports the weight of an integrated touch screen assembly during transport and during transport, but does not apply any forces normal to the plane of the display that would weaken the adhesive bonds between the touch screen cover glass and the touch screen, and the touch screen and the display, which could cause separation of the integrated touch screen.
Abstract: A method and system for sound-induced sleep is provided. The method includes detecting brainwave signals of a subject. The method further includes analyzing the brainwave signals to determine a current sleepy state of the subject and selecting a sound in response to the current sleepy state based on a quantified association index between the brainwave signals and acoustical features of the sound. The method further more includes playing the sound to the subject.

Abstract: An electromagnetic neural stimulation device includes a biocompatible shaft and one or more microcoil systems inside the shaft. A microcoil system includes a microcoil (driven externally) that is complemented with a metallic element juxtaposed against the microcoil as a shield to non-uniformly affect spatial distribution of the strength of the magnetic field generated by the microcoil. The microcoil system is oriented at a position inside the shaft that is predetermined to place the microcoil system in the vicinity of target neurons once the shaft is inserted into the biological tissue. The angular orientation of the microcoil system is optionally varied to selectively stimulate different regions of the neural network.

The bladder retainer is connected to the valve support stem at a support stem location between the proximal end and the distal end of the valve support stem. The bladder retainer is formed as a wall of material extending radially outwardly from the valve support stem, with a proximal surface of the wall forming an acute angle relative to the valve support stem. The urological valve is disposed in the bladder retainer at a location proximal to the support stem location and proximal to the proximal surface of the wall.
Abstract: An implantable transducer converts an electrical stimulation signal into a corresponding mechanical stimulation signal. The transducer has an elongated shape with a transducer end face having a transducer drive surface adapted to produce the mechanical stimulation signal, and a transducer adhesive feature adapted to intra-operatively receive adhesive material. A separate coupling cap has a coupling end face with a coupling adhesive feature adapted to engage the transducer adhesive feature with the adhesive material and a coupling drive surface adapted for distortion-free coupling of the mechanical stimulation signal from the transducer drive surface to the coupling cap. A signal delivery surface of the coupling cap delivers the mechanical stimulation signal to an adjacent cochlear surface for sensation as sound.
