  • Patent number: 11861944
Abstract: Video output is generated based on first video data that depicts the user performing an activity. Poses of the user during performance of the activity are compared with second video data that depicts an instructor performing the activity. Corresponding poses of the user's body and the instructor's body may be determined through comparison of the first and second video data. The video data is used to determine the rate of motion of the user and to generate video output in which a visual representation of the instructor moves at a rate similar to the that of the user. For example, video output generated based on an instructional fitness video may be synchronized so that movement of the presented instructor matches the rate of movement of the user performing an exercise, improving user comprehension and performance.

  • Patent number: 11837257
Abstract: An electronic device determines a transfer mode to be used to communicate with a recording medium that has first and second transfer modes. The second transfer mode does not guarantee a minimum transfer speed but a higher transfer speed than the minimum transfer speed in the first mode is capable. If the medium supports the second transfer mode, the device determines that the first transfer mode is to be used when the minimum transfer speed is higher than a necessary transfer speed for data that is to be recorded through the communication with the recording medium and that the second transfer mode is to be used when the minimum transfer speed is not higher than the necessary transfer speed. If the medium does not support the second transfer mode, the device determines that the first transfer mode is to be used.

  • Patent number: 11832022
Abstract: In a multi-channel video mode, an electronic device may separately display a plurality of images from different cameras in a plurality of areas of a viewfinder frame. An image from one camera is displayed in one area, and a user operation such as a leftward sliding operation or a rightward sliding operation of a user in an area may be detected, to change framing presented by a corresponding camera in the area, without changing framing of another camera in a corresponding area. In this way, during multi-channel video recording, the user can separately adjust framing presented by each working camera in a preview frame, so that framing of each working camera in the preview frame does not affect each other, to avoid a problem that a change of framing of a working camera in the preview frame causes a change of framing of another working camera in the preview frame.

  • Patent number: 11830525
Abstract: Techniques for supplementing a video clip with additional information without modifying the original content included within the video clip are disclosed herein. A video clip comprising multiple video frames is generated. A layer, which is to be associated with the video clip, is also generated. This layer initializes and terminates during a duration of the video clip. An association is formed between the layer and the video clip. Layer content is added to the layer to cause the layer content to supplement content visualized by the video clip without modifying the content visualized by the video clip. In response to the video clip being played, the layer is initialized and the layer content is displayed.
