  • Patent number: 10142822
Abstract: Devices, systems, and method are provided for wireless coded communication (WCC) devices, which are configured for wireless communication with other devices, e.g., over a network. A WCC device is a type of internet of things (JOT) device that can sense data, process data, send data, respond to data requests and exchange data with other WCC device, a network device, a user device, and/or systems over the internet. In some configurations, a WCC device may include a power source that enables usage of low power, e.g., to send data that is sensed, request data and/or communicate data wirelessly. WCC devices maybe function as standalone devices or may be integrated into other devices. In some configurations, a WCC device may include power harvesting circuitry, including power harvesting user controls. A WCC device may be pre-configured or coded to report occurrence of an event, log an event, log state, cause an action, send a message or request data from one or more end nodes.

  • Patent number: 10135569
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method used in a User Equipment (UE) for receiving System Information Block Type 1 (SIB1) of a serving cell of the UE and the associated UE. The method includes: receiving a signal carrying the SIB1 of the serving cell; determining one or more neighboring cells of the serving cell as potential interference neighboring cells; determining one or more SIB1 Resource Elements (REs) carrying the SIB1 of the serving cell and one or more SIB1 REs carrying SIB1 of each of the potential interference neighboring cells; determining one or more of the potential interference neighboring cells having one or more SIB1 REs colliding with said one or more SIB1 REs of the serving cell, as valid interference neighboring cells; cancelling SIB1 of each of the valid interference neighboring cells from the received signal; and decoding the received signal after the cancellation to obtain the SIB1 of the serving cell.

  • Patent number: 10136385
Abstract: Modes on power consumption are suitably set. There is provided an information processing device including a control section. When the information processing device in a first mode transitions to a second mode in which the information processing device consumes power differently than in the first mode, the control section performs control to transmit at least one frame. Upon transmitting the frame, the control section inserts into the frame information for notifying a first device compatible with the second mode that the information processing device will transition to the second mode, and information for causing a second device incompatible with the second mode to suppress transmission.

  • Patent number: 10129280
Abstract: A modular pipeline for event management in a computer environment is provided to enable the high volume of events that may be relevant to the security and stability of that environment to be gathered and analyzed for relevancy in a lower volume format. The modular pipeline enables event collection to meet various use cases so that the data comprising the events may be held and transmitted in a reduced volume format so that the relevancy of the events, rather than the events themselves, may be used by various systems with less transmission overhead and greater responsiveness. Aspects of the modular pipeline streamline and optimize the performance of a computing device within a network environment and provide for additional analytics of that environment.

  • Patent number: 10127389
Abstract: A storage device can include processing and cryptographic capability enabling the device to function as a hardware security module (HSM). This includes the ability to encrypt and decrypt data using a cryptographic key, as well as to perform processing using such a key, independent of whether that processing involves data stored on the device. An internal key can be provided to the drive, whether provided before customer software access or received wrapped in another key, etc. That key enables the device to perform secure processing on behalf of a user or entity, where that key is not exposed to other components in the network or environment. A key may have specified tasks that can be performed using that key, and can be discarded after use. In some embodiments, firmware is provided that can cause a storage device to function as an HSM and/or processing device with cryptographic capability.

  • Patent number: 10122406
Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques for managing antenna sharing on a multi-mode wireless device between coexisting cellular and WLAN modems operating on the same band. One of the modems can communicate a WLAN scanning parameter to another one of the modems, and the distribution of shared antennas between the cellular modem and the WLAN modem may be modified based at least in part on the communicated scanning parameter to accommodate a WLAN scan on channels in the shared band. The distribution of the shared antennas between the modems for the WLAN scan may additionally or alternatively be selected based at least in part on the source of a detected WLAN scanning trigger (e.g., whether the scan is triggered by an application of the wireless device or the WLAN modem of the wireless device).

  • Patent number: 10123202
Abstract: A method is provided for using virtual subscriber identity modules (vSIMs) for client devices. A network device creates, in a memory, a user account for storing one or more vSIMs. The network device receives, from a user of the user account, a selection of network services to be associated with a vSIM. The network device initiates creation of a blockchain including a vSIM certificate for the network services, wherein the vSIM certificate includes an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI). The network device associates the vSIM certificate with the user account. The vSIM can be retrieved and used by any one of different devices associated with the user account or loaned to other users.

  • Patent number: 10111272
Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein provide a vehicle system that can prompt a user to select a BLUETOOTH pairing type—normal or temporary. In response to receiving selection of a temporary BLUETOOTH pairing type, the vehicle system can prompt the user to select a trigger for terminating a temporary pairing period during which the user device and the vehicle system are to be temporarily paired, and the vehicle system can receive selection of the trigger. The user device and the vehicle system can be paired. The vehicle system can receive data associated with the user and can store the data in a vehicle memory. The vehicle system can monitor for activation of the trigger. In response to the trigger being activated, the vehicle system can terminate the temporary pairing period thereby unpairing the user device and the vehicle system and can delete the data from the vehicle memory.
