Abstract: A method & system for human interactive proof (HIP) is provided. A user is provided to respond a query linked to a logical captcha object or an analytical captcha object. Upon receiving inputs from the user, the correct information of the said captcha & the user's input is compared. If the user's input and the correct information of the captcha object matches then the user is authenticated as human, else the user is authenticated as not a human.

Abstract: Methods and software to produce a chart from data and parameters supplied by a client through a generic interface. Created charts are accessible via a Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) returned to the client through the generic interface. Multiple chart producers with different interfaces are supported.

Abstract: A portable media playing device incorporating a menu structure. The device includes a display mechanism, a navigation database, including a navigation record with a navigation description, and an action database, including an action record with an action description. The action database is customizable. A display driver displays the navigation description. When the navigation description is selected, the display driver displays the action description. When the action description is selected, a digital synchronization system generates an extra action request (EAR) record that includes an action identifier and action data for storage in an EAR database. When the device is synchronized with a computer, a synchronization manager accesses the EAR database and updates the action database with any new action records.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for delivering dynamic media content to collaborators. Embodiments typically include providing collaborative event media content including a grammar and a structured document; receiving a plurality of disparate client location representations; generating a dynamic client context for a client in dependence upon at least one of the client location representations; detecting an event in dependence upon the dynamic client context; identifying one or more collaborators in dependence upon the dynamic client context and the event; selecting from the structured document a classified structural element in dependence upon an event type and a collaborator classification; and transmitting the selected structural element to the collaborator. In typical embodiments, each disparate client location representation includes a client location value and a client location type.

Abstract: A data entry system includes a plurality of keys each of which has two or more symbols associated with each key and a means for receiving a second specific input from a user. A third correction key is provided, where a user enters a desired input by pressing one or more of the plurality of keys corresponding to the symbols required for the desired input and further provides a second specific input also relating to at least a portion of the desired input, such that the system produces a response to the desired input by predicting the desired input based on the symbols pressed by the user and based on the second specific input. If the produced response is different than the desired input, the user may press the correction key to scroll through additional less frequent responses from the system also matching the symbols pressed and the second specific input.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide a target element zoom component that is configured to perform a focal point zoom operation on a target element using an appropriate zoom factor. In at least some embodiments, the target element zoom component receives a request to perform a zoom operation at a focal point of a target element in a page displayed in a display area. In at least some embodiments, the request is received via two-finger tap input on a screen of a touch enabled device. The target element zoom component then determines an appropriate zoom factor for the zoom operation. Responsive to determining the appropriate zoom factor, the target element zoom component performs the zoom operation on the page using the appropriate zoom factor so that the target element remains within the display area with the focal point retained.

Abstract: A method of filtering data entries on a mobile device includes displaying a list of data entries on a display device of the mobile device. An indication of one of the data entries of the list is received at one of an input device and an auxiliary input device. Highlighting the data entry in response to the indication is performed. At an auxiliary input device, a pause of the indication is received. A filter for data entries that match the value of a predetermined field of the highlighted data entry is then executed. Results of the filter are displayed on the display device.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method is illustrated as rendering an application User Interface (UI) to be modified to reflect a use case, and initiating a guided procedure relating to the use of an elected privilege to modify the application UI. Further, in one embodiment, a method is illustrated as including displaying a configuration rule, the configuration rule used to govern a UI configuration, detecting a selection of the configuration rule as an elected privilege relating to modifying a UI element and a layout element, and storing the elected privilege. In some cases, the UI is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) UI.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for automatically linking a cursor to a hotspot in a hypervideo stream comprising a plurality of video frames that are associated with at least one user selectable hotspot. One method includes establishing an association between a selectable hotspot in a first activation region of a first video frame received for presentation in a video presentation space and a cursor when a first position of the cursor is within the first activation region corresponding to the selectable hotspot. The method also includes receiving a second video frame that includes the selectable hotspot in a second activation region different from the first activation region, and determining whether a second position of the cursor is outside of the second activation region of the second video frame.

Abstract: A system for and method of generating and visualizing one or more sharing event cascade structures associated with one or more content sharing events that occur across a network may include generating a plurality of sharing event nodes in the one or more sharing event cascade structures based on data associated with at least one of a system log and a database, wherein each sharing event cascade structure graphically represents a history of one or more content items being shared among a plurality of users of the network, and presenting, on a display device, a content sharing visualization diagram that illustrates the one or more sharing event cascade structures and enables a user to analyze sharing patterns associated with the plurality of users of the network.

Abstract: In an exemplary method, contacts data for a network address book is maintained, data representative of at least a portion of a local address book maintained on an access device is received over a network, and the received local address book data is used to perform at least one connected address book operation. In one example in which the contacts data includes data representative of a network address book listing associated with a user, data representative of a persona associated with the user is maintained, a request to access the network address book listing is received, and at least a subset of the data representative of the network address book listing is identified and provided in response to the request and based at least in part on the persona.

Representations based on the gathered metadata are provided to a viewing user, and may include visual elements serving as host, content and/or presence representations. Applicable representations are identified from a plurality of defined possible content representations based on the metadata associated with and obtained for a hosting user. The representations may be descriptive of a variety of parameters, including but not limited to the type, timing, nature or other parameters associated with content currently being accessed by a hosting user, content available from the hosting user, a future schedule for content access, time remaining for the hosting user to remain within a shared virtual environment, the hosting user's social network status relative to the viewing user.

Abstract: Multimedia content of exchangeable storage media, such as optical discs, may be extended by bonus content that is downloaded via Internet connection and stored on a local storage device. An improved method for integration of different menu items relating to on-disc content and downloaded content provides flexibility and a simple, low cost solution. The method for integration of downloaded bonus content into a menu comprises defining one or more placeholders within a menu, determining a storage location or naming convention for bonus content, declaring for each placeholder an attribute providing a unique association to a specific type of bonus content, providing a button image, detecting presence of bonus content data, replacing the associated placeholder by the associated button image and enabling an associated action to be taken when said button is selected.

Abstract: A mobile terminal device includes a display section having a display screen, an input section having a touch input region on the display screen, and a control section for displaying a plurality of keys. The display screen is provided as a software keyboard where a touch operation on a specific key causes an input of the specific key. In the specific display region on the display screen that can display operation keys on the software keyboard, the control section selects these keys from a previously prepared set of input candidate key groups. In response to a specific operation on the specific display region, the control section allows the plurality of keys to be displayed on the specific display region. In response to touch on a desired key in the specific display region, the control section determines that an input of the key has been performed.

Abstract: A method of presenting content on the user interface display screen of a portable electronic device includes the presentation of a plurality of icons. The icons scale in size in accordance with a position of the respective icons along a curved path.

Abstract: Computer-readable media and systems for communicating physical gestures as compressed data streams are provided. In particular, a technique is employed for generating replicated physical gestures on a user-interface display to visibly communicate sign language without transmitting information standard to typical video sessions, such as audio or video frames. In general, the technique entails the following steps: receiving coordinate representations of user-initiated physical gestures (e.g., hand movements); deciphering the received coordinate representations to identify corresponding motion patterns; and conveying the motion patterns to a presentation component for rendering. Rendering involves replicating the physical gestures by providing animations that carry out the motion patterns. The coordinate representations are generally received from a mobile device that captures physical gestures of a sender by employing a position-tracking interface.

Abstract: User interfaces for browsing, searching, and/or previewing are described. In one embodiment, a method includes call a preview generator to generate an initial preview in response to receiving an input, receiving a content to be displayed from the preview generator, displaying the content as the initial preview, and displaying and scrolling concurrently an enhanced preview to a next item in a representation of items in a search result in response to an input to directionally move. Abstract: An electronic device for text prediction in a virtual keyboard. The device includes a memory including an input determination module for execution by the microprocessor, the input determination module being configured to: receive signals representing input at the virtual keyboard, the virtual keyboard being divided into a plurality of subregions, the plurality of subregions including at least one subregion being associated with two or more characters and/or symbols of the virtual keyboard; identify a subregion on the virtual keyboard corresponding to the input; determine any character or symbol associated with the identified subregion; and if there is at least one determined character or symbol, provide the at least one determined character or symbol to a text prediction algorithm.
