  • Patent number: 4697997
Abstract: A rotary fluid pressure device is disclosed comprising a housing having fluid inlet and outlet means and enclosing a gerotor having an internally toothed member and a coacting externally toothed member having a less number of teeth than the internally toothed member and having its axis positioned eccentrically relative to the axis of the internally toothed member. A wobble stick in the housing has a first end connected to the axial drive shaft and a second end connected to the gerotor member having the orbital movement. The housing has one set of passageways communicating at all times with the expanding and contracting gerotor cells. The gerotor member having orbital movement is, in addition to its usual function, a valve with two travel passageways, one travel passageway coaxially surrounding the other passageway.

  • Patent number: 4695232
Abstract: A central body connects a driving motor and a pump driven by the driving motor through a shaft and a coupling. The hollow central body surrounds the coupling, connected on one side to the driving motor and connected on the other side to the pump. A fan is arranged in the central body and is connected with an inlet and an outlet. The central body has a heat exchanger through which the outlet from the fan is conducted. To further develop and improve this apparatus, a pressure medium tank is mounted in the central body and surrounds the driving shaft at some distance. The pump is connected with the pressure medium tank through its suction connector. The inlet to the fan is provided on the side of the driving motor.

  • Patent number: 4684331
Abstract: A slinger for a submersible electric pump protects a motor shaft bearing as well as a shaft seal. The slinger is provided with four, inclined, curved projections or vanes which are operable to propel sand or other potentially abrasive, grit-like contaminants away from an area adjacent the shaft seal. A pair of outlet slots disposed horizontally adjacent a lowermost portion of the slinger cooperates with the vanes to enable passage of the contaminants to an area external of the pump, such that the contaminants do not accumulate within the pump itself and the likelihood that the contaminants will enter the first pump stage is significantly reduced. Each of the vanes has a face inclined slightly relative to the frustoconical outer surface of the slinger, and each face terminates in a curved leading edge and a curved trailing edge. The vanes direct the contaminants toward the lowermost portion of the slinger where maximum outward thrust is developed.

  • Patent number: 4674960
Abstract: A sealed rotary compressor is provided which includes separate pump and gear chambers. Disposed within the pump chamber is a set of rotors operatively associated with a set of gears rotatably mounted within the gear chamber. A substantially pressure differential exists between the two chambers. Rotational power is applied directly to the rotors through a static seal rather than through the gears which are utilized primarily to transmit the dynamic load. The pump chamber is defined by two end plates with a surrounding thin-walled housing. Within the pump chamber are interior thin wall members with the rotary members disposed therebetween and defining inlet and outlet pockets operatively associated with a pump housing inlet and outlet means.

  • Patent number: 4667763
Abstract: A vehicle, in particular an agricultural one, for instance a combine harvester, has two axles (1, 2) drivable from two hydraulic motors (3, 4) switched in parallel, of which the one, non-steerable axle (1) is constantly drivable and the drive of the second steerable axle (2) may be connected or disconnected by means of clutch (11). In order to achieve a compact, stable and vibration-free auxiliary drive of the second steerable axle (2), the clutch (11), a planetary transmission (12) and a bevel drive pinion of an angle transmission (13) are arranged coaxially one behind the other between the associated hydraulic motor (4) and the axle (2). Due to this arrangement the hydraulic motor (4) of the second steerable axle (2) may be approximately half the size of the hydraulic motor (3) of the constantly driven axle (1). The clutch (11) and the planetary transmission (12) are combined to form a compact constructional unit (26) which is flange-connected to the axle housing ( 27) of the second, steerable axle (2).

  • Patent number: 4666377
Abstract: Disclosed are method and fluid lift pump for raising liquids through a bundle of substantially vertical lift tubes adapted to raise liquids even while submerged less than 50% of total lift height, the tubes having about the same length extending side by side, each tube having an inside diameter of less than about one inch. The lift tubes communicate at the lower end with a housing defining a chamber capable of being filled with liquid to be raised, and the lower portion of the housing includes means for injecting a lifting fluid into the liquid in the chamber. The injecting means comprise an injecting orifice, having an inside diameter no larger than about the largest lift tube inside diameter, positioned below the lower ends of the lift tubes by a specified distance depending on the cross-sectional area of the bundle and the number of injecting orifices. Bubbles of lifting fluid rise through the liquid in the chamber, enter the lift tubes, and form rising slugs of liquid separated by slugs of lifting fluid.
