  • Patent number: 7464823
Abstract: A platform 12 is supported by four belts 22 to 25. Of the belts 22 to 25, a pair of belts 24, 25 is attached to a pivoting arm 26 so that the pivoting arm 26 is pivotable around a pivoting shaft 28. Pivoting of the pivoting arm 26 absorbs, for example, the difference in length between the belts 24, 25. The present invention makes it possible to simplify an elevate and lower driving mechanism of the platform 12 and to easily adjust the lengths of the belts 22 to 25. The present invention also makes it possible to prevent vibration during elevation or lowering and to allow the belts 22 to 25 to stand long use.

  • Patent number: 7461753
Abstract: A practical intelligent assist device is provided that eliminates the complex use of force sensing weigh cells and vector interpreting software. By simplifying the input to a series of traditional voltage inputs, i.e. 1-4 volt signals, the use of standard available control componentry becomes available. Utilizing a series of such simplified inputs, including a load angle feedback, the processing of the vector math can be accomplished within a programmable logic controller (PLC). Outputs can then be simply generated to control a series of 0-60 Hz digital signals to drive direct drive motors.

  • Patent number: 7455187
Abstract: A traveling crane according to the present invention includes a hook hoisting guide sheave for guiding a hook hoisting rope from the top of a boom toward the end of a jib, and the hook hoisting guide sheave is arranged on the top of the boom in a state that the guide sheave can guide the hook hoisting rope along the upper surface of the boom by folding the rope toward an upper spreader placed at a position adjacent to a boom anchor during assembling/disassembling of the crane. Thereby, the upper spreader can be moved between the boom anchor and a far end of the boom without providing a guide sheave dedicated for moving the upper spreader. Pairs of support legs are downward provided on both sides and in front and in rear of the upper spreader and a roller is provided for each support leg, so that interference between the upper spreader during movement and obstacles on the boom upper surface can be prevented even in a horizontal movement system excellent in operating efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7422123
Abstract: The present invention relates to a crane boom for transport as container freight which can be assembled from a plurality of boom parts which each have coupling pieces at the front face end for the putting together of the boom parts, wherein the boom parts each have at least one bottom chord and can be placed next to one another such that the bottom chords of the boom parts together form a continuous runway free of offset and faults for a crab. The invention further relates to a transport apparatus for the transport of boom parts of a crane boom of this type as container freight. In accordance with the invention, the boom parts of the crane boom, despite the identical bottom chord track dimensions which provide a runway for a normal crab on the bottom chords largely free of offset and faults, have different cross-sections such that the boom parts can be pushed into one another for the purpose of transport, whereby the space in the boom parts is also utilized.

  • Patent number: 7410067
Abstract: A carriage of the types commonly used in skyline logging operations. The invention facilitates moving logs along a suspended skyline by means of a hoisting system built into the carriage comprised of a radio controlled electronics system, an internal combustion power plant, proportional controlled hydraulically driven skidline sheave, a skidline clamp and skyline clamp. A novel method of pump control keeps the internal combustion engine operating within its power band. The volume output of the pump is controlled by engine RPM to adjust the pump's load on the engine. Combined operation of the various controls on the carriage, in conjunction with the controlled operations of the yarder winch at the end of the skyline, result in a system well suited for efficient logging operation. The choker/setter (ground crew) and the yarder are able to remotely control the carriage operation as a team. The carriage controls of the present invention are primarily hydraulic, actuated by means of electrical solenoid valves.

Abstract: The embodied hoisting mechanism has a hoisting cable, a hoisting-cable drive, a frame and a jib that can be topped. Hoisting-cable drive means form a path for the hoisting cable. A displaceable hoisting-cable guide is used with the hoisting cable so that the displacement of the displaceable hoisting-cable guide changes the length of the path. The displaceable hoisting-cable guide has an associated first hydraulic component with a first chamber that can be connected to a second hydraulic component with a second chamber of variable volume. A pressure source is coupled to the second hydraulic component in order to maintain a substantially constant hydraulic pressure in the second chamber.
