    Abstract: A packaging material for photosensitive materials which comprises a laminated film comprising a thermoplastic resin heat seal layer and a metal foil or metallized flexible sheet layer laminated through a linear low density polyethylene resin extrusion laminating adhesive layer of which the resin composition is 30 to 90 wt. % of linear low density polyethylene resin being a copolymer resin of ethylene and .alpha.-olefin and 70 to 10 wt. % of high pressure low density polyethylene resin, the melt index of the blended resin is 5 to 20 g/10 minutes, the density of the blended resin is 0.870 to 0.930 g/cm.sup.3, the optical density of the transmitted light of said laminated film is more than 4.0, and the moisture permeability of the laminated film is less than 2.0 g/m.sup.2.24 hours.

    Abstract: A fuser member and fuser system of a type wherein a polymeric release agent having functional groups supplied to the surface of the fuser member has an elastomer fusing surface comprising poly(vinylidenefluoride-hexafluoropropylene-tetrafluoroethylene) wherein the vinylidenefluoride is present in the amount less than 40 mole percent, a metal oxide is present in amounts sufficient to interact with the polymer release agent having functional groups to provide an interfacial barrier layer between the fusing surface and the toner and being substantially unreactive with the elastomer and wherein the elastomer is cured from a solvent solution thereof with a nucleophilic curing agent soluble in the solution and in the presence of less than 4 parts by weight of inorganic base per 100 parts by weight of polymer with the inorganic base being effective to at least partially dehydrofluorinate the vinylidenefluoride.

The copper and nickel or cobalt layers can be strongly bonded to the textured polyimide sheet to the extent that the laminate exceeds bond strength requirements as measured by current standard peel strength tests of the Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC) for both initial and post solder float adhesion.

    Abstract: A composition which comprises (a) a salt of a metal (M) of a hydroxycarboxylic acid in which the OH and COOH groups are attached to the ring atoms of a fused ring system and (b) a surface coating compound or composition. The metal (M) is at least divalent and may be magnesium, calcium, barium or particularly zinc. The fused ring system is preferably a fused aromatic hydrocarbon ring system such as naphthalene. The OH and COOH groups can be attached to adjacent carbon atoms of fused hydrocarbon ring system. Zinc 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoate has been found to be particularly suitable. The composition may also include a metal oxide and/or a metal phosphate. Component (b) can be a film forming binder system, a natural oil or a grease. The composition can be coated onto the surface of a metal. The coated metal shows improved resistance to corrosion.
