  • Patent number: 10049373
Abstract: Energy demand in an entire community including multiple demanders is properly predicted and energy consumption thereof is properly controlled. Every day, some demanders are selected from the community and a request to adjust energy consumption for the following day is sent to the selected demanders. To decide a content of the request, energy demand for the following day is predicted. In this case, demanders which did not receive a request on past days are specified, and demand in the community for the following day is predicted based on the actual energy consumption by those demanders on the past days.

  • Patent number: 10037512
Abstract: Methods and systems that provide for enhanced and simplified calendar event creation in a calendar application are disclosed. First, the method begins with a user inputting into a device a description of a new calendar event. Second, the method uses the description to extract a title field that is then used to scan for a list of similar calendar events from a database of historical calendar events. Third, the method presents the list of similar calendar events to the user. Fourth, the user selects one of the similar calendar events to help pre-fill some or all of the fields of the new calendar event.

  • Patent number: 10037506
Abstract: A system with access to regularly updated information regarding an entity can generate information regarding the performance of that entity. For example, values of various key performance indicators (KPIs) can be determined. One or more of the values can be compared to a corresponding threshold or range. Based on the results of the comparisons, an alert can be generated and sent to a user associated with the entity, a user interface (UI) that presents information to the user about the entity can include information regarding the KPIs, or both. The system may have access to data regarding a number of similar entities. Using the data for the similar entities, one or more benchmarks for the KPIs of the entity can be determined. The KPIs can be compared to the benchmarks and the results shown in a UI, an alert, or both.

  • Patent number: 9978044
Abstract: An analyzing device requires regular maintenance for maintaining a predetermined analyzing performance thereof. However, the more complex the analyzing device becomes, the more number of maintenance items are provided. For example, if a plurality of types of maintenances to be performed by removing same component, efficiency may be improved by performing the same as a whole. However, when conforming with a manual, if recommended timings to perform the maintenance are shifted delicately, there is a probability of occurrence of a case where the same components are removed several times for maintenance during a short time. At the time when an instruction to perform maintenance is issued, maintenance items to be performed are extracted, the extracted maintenance items are sorted into a recommended performance order in conformity to a preset rule such that the similar maintenance or the maintenance of the same portion or the like are performed continuously.

  • Patent number: 9824322
Abstract: A new technique to analyze the control-flow, i.e., the workflow graph of a business process model, which is called symbolic execution, is provided. Acyclic workflow graphs that may contain inclusive OR-gateways are considered; a symbolic execution for them is defined, which runs in quadratic time. In particular, this symbolic execution essentially comprises labeling edges of nodes of the graph such that a label assigned to a first edge comprises a set of one or more edge identifiers, each identifying a second edge that is an outgoing edge of an XOR-split or an IOR-split node in the graph, whereby executing the second edge ensures that the first edge will be executed. Such a scheme may permit a decision for any pair of control-flow edges or tasks of the workflow graph whether they are sometimes, never, or always reached concurrently. This has different applications in finding control- and data-flow errors.
