If the persisted knowledge indicates that data size and shape corrections were applied to the previous dataset, filtering corrections of the current dataset based on the data size and shape corrections are determined, the persisted knowledge is rationalized based on the filtering corrections, and queries of the current transaction are modified based on the filtering corrections, or if the data size and shape corrections were not applied to the previous dataset, the persisted knowledge is rationalized based on the data profile match and the queries of the current transaction are modified based on the rationalized persisted knowledge.

Abstract: A SOBA lifecycle methodology is provided for assembling and maintaining service-oriented business applications (SOBAs) for effective functionality and interoperability. SOBAs are loosely coupled business processes and applications in which all functions are defined as independent, semantically-aware business services, with distributed assembly from a global chain of providers. One useful prerequisite for the methodology is analyzing the associated SOA (service-oriented architecture) strategy and infrastructure such as the hardware, software, human resources, and deployment strategy. A second prerequisite is analyzing the associated SOA governance process for how all the resources of the SOBA will work together. Governance refers to design, release, run-time, and manage-time functions.

In one example, operations include monitoring operations of at least one monitored device using at least one connected device, determining a projected life span of the at least one monitored device based on the monitored operations, and, if the projected life span of the monitored device is less than a threshold amount, determining a corrective action to perform. A proposal can be generated for presentation based on the corrective action. The proposal may be based on the estimated cost of the determined corrective action and an analysis of an account.

In some embodiments, the system includes an interface and schedule engine, both executing on a server. The interface can parse a sales order from the sales management system into products and project tasks within the products. The products can also include at least one of a labor product, a parts product, and an agreements product. The schedule engine can generate schedule tasks corresponding to the project tasks, determine a performance order of the schedule tasks, and combine the schedule tasks into schedule phases based on the performance order. The schedule engine can determine a performance order of the schedule phases and combine the schedule phases into a schedule component based on the performance order. The interface can transmit the schedule component to the project planning system for execution.

The entry appends the structure of a financial document to provide linkage to market segment characteristics. When creating the financial document including profit and loss (P&L) and balance account line items, a market segment is defined with determined characteristics stored in the line item on the basis of business process dependent rules. For example in posting information on a sales order item, sales order data may be read, and customer, product, and/or other sales order information input. Additional data can be derived on the basis of the determined master data, depending upon user needs. Embodiments allow enriched reporting (e.g., flexible market segment reporting) at the line item level, affording intuitive access to defined characteristics, e.g., drill-down into details of P&L and balance account information.

An allocation method is selected from a plurality of allocation methods. Each allocation method specifies a subset of warehouse inventory data to be used to generate allocation ratios. The method includes reading the subset warehouse inventory data specified by the selected allocation method; generating allocation ratios by determining a contribution of each of the multiple types to the subset of warehouse inventory data; and generating allocation quantities for each respective type in the multiple types by applying the respective allocation ratios to the quantity.
