Abstract: A coffee dosing apparatus provided with a holder for coffee powder and a dosing mechanism, the dosing mechanism being provided with a dosing chamber, which is bounded at a lower side by a bottom wall with a discharge opening, and which is bounded at an upper side by an upper wall with a feed opening, a rotatable dosing element bounding portion spaces being arranged in the dosing chamber, a driving element being connected with the dosing element, wherein between the driving element and the dosing element a coupling is provided, which is such that the dosing element is rotatable in limited steps, at the end of a limited step a mentioned portion space being located above the discharge opening, and a next limited step being startable only after the preceding limited step has been rounded off completely.

Abstract: A capsule magazine unit having a holding device for capsule magazine unit, into which the capsule magazine unit can be releasably inserted, such as of an espresso machine. The capsule magazine unit can comprise at least one essentially vertical capsule magazine tube that is suitable for holding capsules of coffee or other beverage or food forming components stacked one above another and can have a lateral capsule removal opening at the bottom. A locking ring, which is arranged around the capsule magazine unit, can be displaced essentially vertically with respect to the capsule magazine unit. At least one locking-ring lifting element on a holding device for holding the capsule magazine unit can be provided that is suitable for acting on the locking ring.

Abstract: A toaster having: a frame enclosing an open heating chamber; a bread supporting carriage mounted in the chamber and vertically movable relative to the frame, the carriage being retainable in a lowered position for toasting; an extension piece fixed to the carriage; a restoring element coupled between the frame and the extension piece for urging the carriage upwardly away from the lowered position to a first bread discharge position; and a control mechanism for controlling the position for the carriage. The control mechanism includes: a lever mounted for rotation about a first axis, a crank element extending perpendicular to the first axis and connected to the lever for rotation as a unit therewith, and a cam device connected to the extension piece and engaged by the crank element at a location spaced from the first axis for converting rotational movements of the actuating lever into vertical movements of the carriage.

Abstract: A barbecue rack with movable and swivelable spit holders comprising a hollow rack body in which a barbecue area is formed and under which a supporting base of whole set is disposed; at least one power chain in cooperation with two chain sprockets mounted at one side of the rack body to drive the chain; at least one horizontal rod disposed outside the power chain; and at least one spit holder that is mounted the horizontal rod and can move axially and rotate about the horizontal rod. The above mentioned spit holder consists of a main body, an adjusting rod, a bearing holder, a chain wheel and a positioning element. To turn the adjusting rod can move the spit holder in axial direction. The spit holder is swivelable in vertical position or in horizontal position to enable the engagement of the chain wheel with the power chain, thereby rotating the positioning element to achieve an optimal barbecuing effect.

The ammoniated meat product is further comminuted in a comminuting device (12) to produce a further comminuted meat product (22). The ammonia exposure to the original comminuted meat product (21) is controlled to result in a pH of at least around 6.0 in the further comminuted meat product (22).

Abstract: A barbeque grill assembly includes a grill housing, a support frame, and a side rack. The grill housing includes a lower housing part that has an upright lower lateral wall. The support frame is mounted movably on the lower lateral wall, has an inner end that extends into the lower housing part and an outer end that is disposed outwardly of the lower housing part, and is movable horizontally between extended and retracted positions relative to the lower lateral wall. The side rack is coupled pivotally to the outer end of the support frame, and is pivotable to a horizontal unfolded position, in which the side rack is disposed on top of the support frame, when the support frame is at the extended position. The side rack is further pivotable from the unfolded position to a vertical folded position to permit retraction of the support frame.

Abstract: A barbecuing push cart employing LPG and charcoal for barbecuing is disclosed. The barbecuing push cart comprises a hand-pushing cart and a barbecuing oven mounted on the push cart. The opening of the oven has an inner edge wall on which a barbecuing net can be mounted. The internal bottom section of the oven housing is provided with an LPG oven plate. An elevating device having a charcoal plate is provided between the oven opening and the LPG oven plate. One side end of the elevating device is horizontally projected out with a rocking shaft which is projected through the oven and extended toward the user. A downward lifting door is formed at the elevating device and the elevating region of the charcoal plate. An ignition element linked to the LPG stove plate is protruded out from the oven and an ignition button is formed. The frame wall of the oven housing, corresponding to the rocking shaft, is a multi-stage engaging slots. Thus, the barbecuing oven can be operated using both charcoal and LPG.

Abstract: A separation device for dough pieces (2) is provided with an inlet portion for delivering a plurality of dough pieces (2), a separation unit (26) for separating the dough pieces (2) delivered and an outlet portion (27) for individually discharging the dough pieces (2) separated from one another. The separation unit (26) comprises a container (28) having a container bottom (31) which is divided into a round inner portion (33) to which the dough pieces (2) are delivered and an outer portion (34), extending at least partially around the inner portion (33). The outer portion (34) can be caused to rotate relative to the inner portion (33) around an axis of rotation extending perpendicular to the container bottom plane and is arranged in conveying connection with the outlet portion (27). Such a separation device reliably separates a plurality of dough pieces.

Abstract: A coffee maker includes a liquid container. A handle assembly includes a seat placed on the container. A pan is placed in the seat. A spring-biased discharge control assembly and a check valve are mounted to the pan. A lid assembly is fitted on top of the seat. An elongate actuation assembly is hingedly connected to a rear of the lid assembly and includes a push button located intermediate the rear and a forward actuation member. Pressing the push button will lower the actuation member to press down the discharge control assembly and will form a gap for permitting coffee to flow out of the container by tilting the coffee maker. Releasing the push button will expand the spring to lift the discharge control assembly for closing the gap.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel constitutive nitric oxide synthase (NOS) that utilizes both L-arginine and arginine-rich peptides, oligopeptides or proteins, e.g., bradykinin (BK), as substrates in the synthesis of nitric oxide (NO). Also provided are methods of controlling, regulating or modulating NO synthesis in a subject.

Abstract: A fruit squeezer is disclosed. This fruit squeezer forms two transmission movements synchronously in two directions by means of a transmission member to drive the passive pressing cover and the passive rotating member of the fruit squeezer thereby squeezing the fruit by means of forces formed by more than two transmission movements and rotations for obtaining perfect fruit juice.

Abstract: A food processor includes a base, a lower cap, a blade unit and a top cap. The top cap has a fixed tube extending from an underside thereof and a sleeve is movably mounted to the fixed tube. A board is sandwiched between the sleeve and the blade disk of the blade unit so as to move the sleeve upward which then fixed to the fixed tube by an adhesive layer such that a gap with a fixed width is defined after the board is pulled away. The food can be cut into tiny particles and juice can be squeezed via the gap.

Abstract: An extraction device for extracting a beverage with cold or iced water has a tube, a fluid pressurization device and a connector. The connector has a holder with a bottom, a seat, an atomizer and a discharge pipe. The seat is mounted in the bottom of the holder and the atomizer is mounted through the holder and the seat. The extraction chamber is screwed into the seat and has a discharge orifice through which an extracted beverage passes. The fluid pressurization device is connected to the connector. The tube has an outlet end connected to the fluid pressurization device and inlet end connected to a water source. When the extraction device is used, a beverage can be extracted with cold water or iced water quickly, and the flavor of the extracted beverage can be maintained.

Abstract: An electrical toaster includes a case unit having a laterally extending supporting wall and defining a heating chamber that is disposed below the supporting wall, at least a lower slot that is formed in the supporting wall and that is in spatial communication with the heating chamber, and a warming chamber that is disposed above the supporting wall and that is in fluid communication with the lower slot. An electrical heating unit is disposed in the heating chamber. A cover is mounted removably on the case unit for covering at least a top side of the warming chamber.

Abstract: A coffee making apparatus comprising a body, a cover, a T-shaped pipe and valve unit, a clamping unit resiliently secured to the cover, a rotation disc, a filter unit, a disc retainer threadedly secured to the cover, a housing fitted over the cover, and a knob rotatably fastening in the housing and the rotation disc. Placing a coffee bag in the filter unit, rotating the knob together with the rotation disc, and moving the clamping unit downward will press and fasten the coffee bag as hot water being supplied from the pipe and valve unit for mixing with the coffee bag. In the preparation process, steam accompanied hot water may flow back to a reservoir. Also, a distance between a cup of the filter unit and a base of the body is adapted to adjust by threadedly rotating the cup about a sleeve of the filter unit.

Abstract: A juicer has a tilting collecting dish that permits simple, loss-free pouring out of the fruit juice. It is unnecessary to remove the squeeze element with which the citrus fruit was pressed and/or the collecting container surrounding the squeeze element, from which the fruit juice drops into the collecting dish. In order to tilt the collecting dish, two opposing projections are provided on the outer side of the jacket wall thereof, which lie rotatably of pivotally in recesses on the inside of the housing wall.

Abstract: An assembly for generating a continuous stream of smoke for food processing such as barbecue cooking includes a reusable cartridge holder for holding upright a disposable smoke generating cartridge. The cartridge includes an outer covering enclosing a chamber. The covering includes a perforated top, a non-perforated upper portion designed to not burn during the process and a readily combustible lower portion. At the bottom of the chamber is a readily combustible tinder material that is easily set afire by the burning lower portion. The balance of the chamber is filled with wood pellets that smolder and emit desirable smoke when ignited by the tinder, the smoke passing upward through the perforated top. The convection currents produce a stream of smoke without the need for a fan. The pellets don't fall through the cartridge after the bottom portion burns away because they swell up and are held in place within the upper portion.

Abstract: A device for heating and emulsifying liquids, in particular drinks, which is unusually capable of generating a dense and creamy foam, comprises a steam-emitting member with which a hollow body can be associated. The steam-emitting member comprises a spout positioned along the hollow body at a height such as to be above the level of the liquid to be emulsified. Inserted coaxially inside the hollow body is a duct which defines a first passage and a second passage. A region for communication between the first passage, the second passage and a third passage for air, which is placed in communication with a groove formed in the inner surface of the hollow body, is provided between the steam-emitting member and the duct. The steam-emitting member comprises two annular projections provided with sectors which have different transverse dimensions and which are offset relative to one another and define a labyrinthine path.
