Abstract: The present invention discloses a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and method for forming the same. In the LCD panel, the TFT includes a source and a drain formed by a transparent conducting layer, and a gate formed by a metal layer. The source is electrically connected with a data line through a via hole over the data line. The source connects to the drain via an active layer. Whatever the number of data lines are, each pixel corresponds to an associated via hole, so the number of via holes does not increase, and not reduce the aperture ratio. Therefore, the present invention is very proper to a design using more data lines and working in a high frequency. Moreover, the matrix circuitry of LCD of the present invention is well applied in a display which not only increases a density of data lines to raise the frame rate, but also maintains the aperture ratio and brightness.

  • Patent number: 9341906
Abstract: In one embodiment, a first substrate includes a gate line extending in a first direction, a source line extending in a second direction orthogonally crossing the first direction, a pixel electrode including a main pixel electrode extending in the second direction, and a first alignment film covering the pixel electrode. A second substrate includes a common electrode having a pair of main common electrodes arranged on both sides sandwiching the main pixel electrode and a second alignment film covering the common electrode. A liquid crystal layer is held between the first alignment film and the second alignment film and includes liquid crystal molecules. The liquid crystal layer is formed of materials having negative dielectric constant anisotropy, and the liquid crystal molecules are initially aligned substantially in parallel with the first direction when electric field is not impressed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode.

  • Patent number: 9341905
Abstract: The present invention discloses an array substrate, which includes a sub-pixel array, a number of data lines, and a number of scanning lines. The sub-pixel array is divided into a number of column groups along the distribution direction of the data lines, and is divided into a number of row groups along the distribution direction of the scanning lines. By designing the layout of the sub-pixels, the data lines and the scanning lines in the array substrate, there are alternately distributed sufficiently charged sub-pixels and insufficiently charged sub-pixels exist in a same column of sub-pixels when a dot inversion driving is used. Therefore, a LCD panel including the array substrate has even brightness uniformity, and the defect of vertical bright-dark lines is alleviated. The present invention also discloses a LCD panel including the above array substrate and a corresponding LCD.
