  • Patent number: 11955029
Abstract: A system and method for providing indoor situational awareness and navigational aid for the visually impaired user, is disclosed. The processor may receive input data. The processor may enhance the image based upon the angle and the depth information. The processor may determine “directional saliency”, “saliency at rest” and “saliency in motion” of the enhanced image of the scene to provide situational awareness and generate a virtual graph with a grid of nodes. The processor may probe each node in order to check whether or not the point corresponding to said node is on a floor and determine the shortest path to a destination in the virtual graph by only considering the points on the floor. The processor may convert the description of the shortest path and the scene into one or more of audio or Braille text instruction to the user.

  • Patent number: 11925851
Abstract: An exercise assisting device includes at least one processor. The processor obtains motion data on a current exercise form of a user performing a certain repetitive exercise motion including a certain motion state. Based on the obtained motion data, the processor determines a point of time at which the motion state occurs in one cycle of the repetitive exercise motion. Based on the obtained motion data and the point of time, the processor obtains the current exercise form in the motion state. The processor obtains a difference between the obtained current exercise form and a target exercise form. The processor causes an actuator to apply a stimulus to a body of the user based on the difference. The actuator is attached to a part of the body of the user constituting the exercise form. The stimulus suggests correction of the exercise form and indicates a direction to move the part.

  • Patent number: 11904179
Abstract: An individualized therapy session can be delivered to a patient using a virtual reality headset and system. In one example, the system can include an accelerometer and a processor. The processor can receive data detected by the accelerometer. The data can include head position data and head movement data. The processor can then determine a view direction of a user of the VR device using the head position data, determine a heart rate of the user by using the view direction of the user to process the head movement data, and output the heart rate of the user to a remote device. The processor can receive, from the remote device, a command to adjust a VR session presented by the VR device to the user. Based on the command, the processor can adjust one or more parameters of the VR session presented by the VR device.

Abstract: A system and method for simulating injury treatment on a living body are provided. The system includes an embedded system configured to be placed on a living body and to simulate an injury of the living body in response to instructions received from a simulation system. Sensors detect a parameter corresponding to a treatment of said injury and transmit said parameter to said simulation system which transmit the instructions to the embedded system to cause it to simulate the injury. The simulation system is further configured to receive sensor data representing the parameter detected by the sensors and the treatment of the injury, and to execute a simulation scenario, which associates the detected parameter with a corresponding effect on the injury. Furthermore, the simulation system is configured to send instructions to the embedded system, which cause the embedded system to simulate the injury such that the simulation reflects the treatment.

  • Patent number: 11875242
Abstract: Systems and methods may involve processing of entity data by nested machine learning models to produce one or more aggregate risk scores, which may be compared to one or more thresholds to determine when one or more predefined actions should be taken. The entity data may be collected for various entities related to an exam registration and delivery process, which may include a candidate, an exam, a test center, an exam registration event, a proctor, and an exam delivery event. Entity data for each entity may be separately processed by entity-specific machine learning models to generate intermediate entity risk scores. The intermediate entity risk scores may be input to an aggregate machine learning model, which may output an aggregate risk score. A resource management server may cause the predefined actions to be taken after comparing the aggregate risk score to the one or more thresholds.

  • Patent number: 11869379
Abstract: A surgeon training apparatus includes a cassette, which includes biological tissue repurposed into a form consistent with the anatomical configuration of abdominal hernias, affixed into an anatomically correct silicon framework which replicates the abdominal anatomy. The framework positions the cassette in an anatomically correct position within the abdominal cavity, enabling surgeons to train using a properly positioned representation of the target anatomy, thus requiring the surgeon to properly use surgical tools to correct the pathologic condition caused by the hernia. The cassette is formed by applying biologic tissue to a specially designed “plate,” which affixes the tissue block into the anatomic framework, and is adapted for connection to a grounding device so the surgeon can use cautery during the simulated hernia repair.
