  • Patent number: 10380614
Abstract: Techniques are provided for determining a user of a computing device who is likely to be unsatisfied with a value of a setting of a program running on the computing device. First information is collected about the value of the setting from a first population of users who invoke a routine to automatically reset the value of the setting to a default value. Second information is collected about the value of the setting from a second population of users who do not invoke the routine. Based on a comparison of the first information and the second information, a determination is made that a user in the second population is likely to be unsatisfied with the value of the setting.

  • Patent number: 10360527
Abstract: A computing system initializes a first frontier to be a root of a multi-dimensional hierarchical data structure representing an entity. The system acquires first data corresponding to the first frontier. The system performs modeling on the first data to obtain a first model and a corresponding first statistic. The system expands a dimension of the first frontier. The system gathers second data corresponding to the expanded frontier. The system applies the data modeling on the second data to obtain a second model and a corresponding second statistic. The system compares the first statistic of the first model and the second statistic of the second model. The system sets the second model to be the first model in response to determining that the second model statistic is better than the first model statistic. The system outputs the first model.

  • Patent number: 10346785
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a system and method for collecting and analyzing data from a plurality of contact center tenants. A processor collects from a plurality of source devices over a data communication network, real-time metrics data for a plurality of contact centers. The real-time metrics data relates to a plurality of contact center factors. The processor stores the collected real-time metrics data in the data store, and generates benchmark data based on the collected real-time metrics data. The processor determines, for a particular contact center of the plurality of contact centers, performance of the contact center relative to the benchmark data. The processor further outputs a recommendation based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10346772
Abstract: In a method for determining group attributes and matching tasks to a group, a plurality of individual attributes for members of a first group of a plurality of groups are determined, wherein each individual attribute has a type. Parameters of a first distribution of at least one type of individual attribute across members of the first group are estimated. Group attributes of the first group are determined based, at least in part, on the estimated parameters of the first distribution of at least one type of individual attribute. The determined group attributes of the first group are stored in a repository, wherein the repository includes group attributes associated with each group of the plurality of groups. A task is received, wherein the task is associated with a specific group attribute and the task is matched to one group of the plurality of groups based on the specific group attribute.

  • Patent number: 10314510
Abstract: Example methods, apparatus/systems and articles of manufacture for determining intensity of a biological response to a presentation are disclosed. An example method includes accessing galvanic skin response (GSR) data obtained from a subject while exposed to a presentation. The GSR data includes a plurality of trough-to-peak instances. The example method includes generating a GSR intensity profile by assigning trough-to-peak scores to corresponding ones of the trough-to-peak instances, defining a plurality of time windows, and assigning window scores to corresponding ones of the time windows based on the trough-to-peaks scores of the trough-to-peak instances occurring within the corresponding time windows. The example method also includes determining an effectiveness of the presentation based on the window scores of the GSR intensity profile.

  • Patent number: 10318910
Abstract: An approach is provided for providing spatio-temporal key performance indicators (ST-KPIs). The approach tracks metrics, such as crowd density, pertaining to a number of locations. The tracking is performed over time to develop a history of past values that correspond to the metrics. The history is used to predict a trend of future metrics at the locations with the trend resulting in predicted future values that correspond to the metrics at the locations. In this manner, the ST-KPIs reflect the predicted future values at the various locations that are being monitored. A city view is displayed to a user showing the current and predicted values at defined ST-KPI locations throughout the city.
