Abstract: Implementing a digital contact sheet generator includes receiving input parameters from a remotely located user to create a table. The table includes one or more table cells, each of which comprises a text cell and an image cell. The input parameters define an appearance of the contact sheet and the table. Each table cell is formatted by selecting an image from a set of source media and calculating a size of the image cell associated with the particular table cell. A location of the image cell within the particular table cell is then determined and the image is resized. The image cell is repositioned and the resized image is drawn in the image cell.

Abstract: A technique for enabling scenario files and image files for supply to a scenario generating device to be created easily is provided. The scenario creating device creates a scenario file supplied to a scenario reproducing device capable of reproducing only image files of a predetermined format. The scenario creating device comprises: an input section including a pointing device; a display section; and a scenario creating section for creating the scenario file. The scenario creating section provides a display of an execution icon on the display screen for causing the scenario creating section to execute a process. When a file icon for a source file of a predetermined format including pagewise scenario information and image information is dragged and dropped on the execution icon by means of operation of the pointing device, a scenario file is created on the basis of the scenario information, and an image file of the predetermined format is generated on the basis of the image information.

Abstract: A technique to facilitate the automatic obtaining or extraction of dialogs or screens such as a graphical user interface from executable program code and saving a snapshot of such dialogs or screens in a graphical format. The executable program code is scanned or searched for particular modules within such program code that are used to generate a user interface or dialogue. Each one of these identified GUI-accessible modules is then processed in order to generate, display, and capture their associated user interface(s) or dialogue(s). Any requisite user input or sample data that is required by these modules is automatically generated and provided to assist in the generation, display, and capture of the interfaces/dialogues.

Abstract: In one aspect, one or more computer storage media can store executable instructions causing a processor to perform operations that include: providing a display environment including one or more object items; receiving a user selection of at least one of the object items; and, graphically transitioning the object item into an instance of an executing object within the display environment while retaining an aspect ratio associated with the object item.

A system for providing a user interface for augmenting multimodal information with information services and interacting with the information services is described.

Abstract: A method, computer readable medium, and system for simplifying access to content includes requesting content in response to activation of a link associated with the content. Operating environment information about a recipient system is also obtained in response to the activation. One of a plurality of versions of the content for the recipient system is selected based on the obtained operating environment information. The selected version of the content is displayed at the recipient system without user intervention after the activation of the link.

Abstract: There is provided a graphical user interface that is displayed within one screen of a display device. The graphical user interface includes a matrix-shaped display area that is partitioned along a first axis by types of content and partitioned along a second axis by units of time. Items of information on the content that is processed within a specified unit of time are displayed within the matrix-shaped display area, closed together along the second axis.

Abstract: A logon management software application is executed in a print control device (4) connectable to an information processing device (1), and performs the steps of: detecting if a hardware keyboard (38) is connected to the print control device during a logon process; displaying on a display (35) a first logon GUI for using the connected hardware keyboard if the connection of the hardware keyboard is detected; displaying on the display a second logon GUI, different to the first logon GUI, if the connection of the hardware keyboard is not detected; and controlling a logon of the print control device based on information entered into the first and/or second logon GUI dependent on whether the connection of the hardware keyboard is detected during at least part of the logon process.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide users with suggested content that is weighted based on the social network context of the suggestion. In particular, the suggested content is selected based on incorporating the preferences of users having a relationship with the user. For example, content recommendations from a family member or known friend of the user may be highly weighted over other recommendations.

Abstract: Utilizing a scrollbar handle for both zooming and panning a display comprising items in a user interface may be accomplished by monitoring an input device's interaction with the scrollbar handle. If the scroll handle is dragged in a direction away from an orientation of the scroll handle in the scrollbar, a display area zoom function can be activated. The zoom function allows a viewbox, comprising content, to be rescaled as a function of the distance the scroll handle is dragged. A displaybox can be created that distinguishes an area of the viewbox from the remainder of the display, which corresponds to content in the viewbox that would be displayed in normal zoom if the scroll handle were released at that location. Further, upon detecting that the scroll handle is released, the display area can zoom to a view of the content inside the distinguished area.

More specifically, the graphical user interface may comprise a displayed graphical representation of the programmable integrated circuit, where the graphical representation includes one or more selectable portions which may represent actual circuitry or components of the programmable integrated circuit. A user-selectable list box may be displayed which comprises one or more selectable items for configuring a selected portion of the graphical representation of the programmable integrated circuit. The user-selectable list box may be displayed in response to a selection of a selectable portion of the programmable integrated circuit for configuration. Additionally, the user-selectable list box may disappear or no longer be displayed in response to a user interaction outside the user-selectable list box, in response to a selection of an item from the user-selectable list box, etc.

A first wire appearance denoting the first data type or specified functionality is created in response to user input, including, e.g., a specified wire pattern, thickness, shape, color(s), portion of the wire to be configured with the first wire appearance, wire label and/or wire icon to be displayed on or near the wire. A graphical program including a first icon and a second icon is created, including connecting the first icon to the second icon in response to user input, and displaying a wire between the first icon and the second icon in response, where the wire has the first wire appearance.

Abstract: A system, method and various user interfaces provide an embedded web-based video player for navigating video playlists and playing video content. A website publisher can create and store a video player with customized parameters (e.g., player type, appearance, advertising options, etc.) and can associate the player with a playlist of selected videos. The stored video player is associated with a player ID in a player database and can be embedded in a website using an embed code referencing the player ID. A user interface for the embedded player provides controls for controlling video playback and for controlling the selection of a video from the playlist.

Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for discovering alternative user experiences for Websites. Embodiments of the invention permit a user to navigate to a Web page that has an alternative application for a Web site. In response to a Web browser detecting the alternative application a user-interface control at the Web browser can be activated. A user can then select the user-interface control to install the alternative application in an alternative application control center. Through the alternative application control center, a user activates alternative applications to interact with Web sites having alternative user experiences.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide users with suggested content that is preloaded on a media player. The suggested content is selected based on playback data from individuals and groups in a social network or playback data from anonymous users, or explicit suggestions from peers of the user in the social network, such as friends or family. The user may set aside space on their media player, such as a DVR or PC hard drive. A service then populates this space with suggested content. In addition, systems and methods allow users to track and create recommendations of content and to automatically schedule recording of showings of this content. The user may automatically record everything suggested, or require the user make selections. Systems and methods also provide for automatic selections, based on content type, time of day, or a random pattern.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, an online advertising management platform receives a login that identifies a user as a user allowed access to an account maintained by the platform. The platform displays a toolbar having a textbox that allows the user to search for data relating to all accounts to which the user has access. The platform displays a combo box after the user enters a fixed number of characters in the textbox. The combo box includes a list of descriptions of each data object that is accessible and that is relevant to the fixed number of characters. The platform locates the combo box contiguous to the toolbar over some but not all of the view displaying the data relating to the order. The platform displays a data object, rather than a page of search results, after the user clicks a description of a data object from the combo box.
