  • Patent number: 10698917
Abstract: A computer system edits a first electronic slide deck by reusing content from a second electronic slide deck, the electronic slide decks containing first and second sequences of slides respectively. The computer system identifies at least a second of the slides of the second electronic slide deck as a candidate for insertion in the first electronic slide deck by identifying the second slide as having a target positional relationship with a first slide of the first electronic slide deck. In response to the user accepting a suggestion to insert the second slide into the first slide deck, a version of the second slide is inserted into the first slide deck at a position in the first sequence that is determined automatically by the computer system.

  • Patent number: 10642933
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for improving word prediction candidate selection in an electronic device. Input of one or more characters is received via a capacitive physical keyboard. A word prediction process generates a set of word prediction candidates, determines a unique character in each word prediction candidate, and displays the word prediction candidates along with visual indicia to indicate the unique character. A second input is then received comprising a tap input of a single character on the keyboard. The electronic device determines whether the second input corresponds to a unique character associated with any of the word prediction candidates, and if so, displays the selected word in an input field on the display.

  • Patent number: 10564808
Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques for configuring a call-to-action (CTA) interface for a particular user of a social networking system (SNS) by emphasizing an option included with the CTA interface based on a machine learning system. The machine learning system may be used to determine to emphasize a first user-selectable option instead of a second user-selectable option (sometimes referred to as an emphasization determination). The emphasization determination may indicate a prediction of an intent of a user to select the first user-selectable option (e.g., an intent for the user to register an account with the SNS or to login to an account of the SNS). Based on the emphasization determination, an interface (e.g., a graphical user interface) may be configured to emphasize the first user-selectable option, and the interface may be sent to a user device for presentation to the user.

Abstract: An actionable event notification disclosed herein provides actionable push notifications that allow an application server to collect information from end users. The actionable event notification includes a notification server that receives notification requests from application servers and communicates notifications to users where the notifications include specification for a notification UI form. In one implementation, the notification server modifies the callback identification on the notification from identification for the application server to identification for the notification server. A client device presents the notification UI form to a user to receive user responses. The user responses are communicated back to the notification server. The notification server processes the user responses and communicates them to the application server as necessary. Alternatively, the user responses are communicated directly to the application server requesting the notifications.
