Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and method for viewing electronic documents. Briefly described, one embodiment of the system, among others, includes an electronic viewer application to display contents of an electronic document; and a visual indicator logic configured to display at least one visual indicator on the electronic display, each visual indicator indicating a portion of the contents that are to be subsequently displayed on the electronic display in response to a navigation command. Other systems and methods are also provided.

Abstract: Example configurations herein include a media player that initiates playback of content (e.g., play back of a movie in a web browser). Based on input from a respective user, the media player receives selections of playback commands (e.g., play, pause, stop, rewind, fast forward, etc.) applied to the content being played back by the media player. Based on the selections, the media player creates a log report. The log report records the selections of the playback commands applied to the content and indicates, for example, a corresponding time when the playback commands were applied. According to one configuration, the media player initiates distribution of the log report to notify a publisher associated with the content which playback commands were selected during playback of the content on the media player.

Abstract: Techniques for delivering digital content to be rendered on electronic book (“eBook”) reader devices are described. The eBook reader devices have different technical features, particularly in terms of display capabilities and navigational capabilities. For instance, eBook reader devices may have differing screen sizes, use different types of display technologies, and have varying browser functionality. The techniques described in this disclosure provide for ways to efficiently and effectively deliver content to various types of reader devices, and to control presentation of that content on individual devices.

Abstract: A system implementing a situation-oriented directory for retrieving a stakeholder identification includes a memory storing a relational database corresponding to the situation-oriented directory including a plurality of attribute-value combinations and a plurality of stakeholder identifications, wherein the plurality of attribute-value combinations are mapped to the plurality of stakeholder identifications such that for each attribute-value combination exactly one stakeholder is mapped, and a processor in communication with the memory for receiving a query and retrieving the stakeholder identification from among the plurality of stakeholder identifications based on the attribute-value combinations.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system, method and program product for a chemical web browser. A chemical web browser including a document system for accessing a document containing at least one chemical name is provided. A chemical annotation system identifies the at least one chemical name within the document. A chemical formulae conversion system associates a chemical structure with the identified chemical name. Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system, method, means, and/or computer program code are provided to facilitate use of a spreadsheet application to access information stored in a multidimensional data source. Some embodiments include receiving, at an analyzer module, a change indication from the spreadsheet application. The change indication may be, for example, associated with a spreadsheet formula of the spreadsheet application entered by a user into a spreadsheet cell. In response to the change indication, the spreadsheet formula may be translated into a multidimensional expression calculation associated with the multidimensional data source. The spreadsheet formula in the spreadsheet cell may then be automatically replaced with information associated with the multidimensional expression calculation.

Abstract: A browser-based web authoring tool that enables locally editing and rendering web pages comprising style sheets. One illustrative embodiment is directed to a browser-based web authoring tool that may edit a style sheet to convert it to an inline style block. The inline style block is then inserted into a web page, replacing a reference to the style sheet. In this way, as the page is edited the web page may be rendered via the browser without repeatedly transferring a style sheet from the web server.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling of rendering of content via electronic networks, whereby content is rendered at a content page only when and to the extent that a pre-defined area of the content page is within the viewer's browser window dimensions and scrolling position, or within a pre-defined distance outside of said browser window dimensions and scrolling position. When a viewer accesses a content page and as the viewer scrolls up or down or left or right on the page, or increases or decreases the dimensions of the viewer's browser window, content that has been designated to render in the content page area corresponding to the viewer's then current browser window dimensions and scrolling position is rendered.

Abstract: A method for providing comprehensive documentation information of complex machines and systems, in particular an injection molding machine is disclosed. Each of the machine components has a storage device that stores information specific for the machine component; in addition, an individual identification is assigned to each of the machine parts. An overall documentation of the machine is generated by combining the component-specific information from a first documentation memory and the part-specific information from a second documentation memory. The overall documentation is displayed on an output device to allow an operator to determine an up-to-date machine configuration and machine state and to intervene in operation and maintenance of the machine.

A system and method are provided that allow a user to divide a web browser screen to manage multiple documents, views of documents, and web services which are provided for and managed using inline frames.

Abstract: A document analysis, commenting, and reporting system provides tools that automate quality assurance analysis tailored to specific document types. As one example, the specific document type may be a requirements specification and the system may tag different parts of requirements, including actors, entities, modes, and a remainder. The system also includes tools for visualizing the relationships between entities in a requirements specification and for identifying whether the requirements specification provides for attributes specified by a non-functional attribute glossary. The system facilitates the visualization of interactions of individual entities, of a system of entities, or entities identified for a specific use. The different types of visualizations distinguish between interacting and non-interacting entities, and highlight where a set of requirements may be deficient with respect to the non-interacting entities.

Abstract: A system and method for presenting message threads is provided. A main body and one or more excerpts are parsed from each of a plurality of messages into nodes structured to form a message tree through a procedural top-down recursive descent. The nodes in the message tree are related by determining line-group types for the main body and the excerpts of each message, which are enumerated into partitions for each of the line-group types. An output network of alternative paths through the messages is created based upon the partitions of the message tree. A document is formed from the output network to identify and remove redundant components in each message.

The data processing device performs steps of processing the multimedia contents data so that the predetermined media data is reproduced at the predetermined reproduction time on the basis of a schedule portion, receiving a predetermined input operation at the predetermined input time. The data processing device carries out a predetermined editing operation and resumes processing of the multimedia contents in accordance with the schedule portion.
