Abstract: Embodiments provide a new short beacon frame format and its operation with full beacon frame transmissions for wireless communications devices. Many embodiments comprise a medium access control (MAC) sublayer logic to build frames comprising the short beacon frame for a first communications device. In some embodiments, the MAC sublayer may determine a frame control field comprising a type field indicative of an extension frame and a subtype indicative of a short beacon. In further embodiments, the frame control field may comprise a service set identifier (SSID) control field, and a reserved field. Some embodiments may store the short beacon frame or frame format in memory, in logic, or in another manner that facilitates transmission of the short beacon frames. Some embodiments may receive and detect communications with the short beacon frames. Further embodiments may generate and transmit a communication with the short beacon frames.

  • Patent number: 11765650
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to temporary networks of edge computing devices. In some embodiments, an edge computing device manages, in response to occurrence of an event, a temporary network of edge computing devices. Managing the temporary network includes: forming the temporary network, managing membership of edge computing devices in the temporary network, causing the temporary network to perform a specified set of tasks, transmitting, to a remote server computing system, information associated with the specified set of tasks, and causing disbanding of the temporary network after determining that the specified set of tasks is complete. The disclosed techniques for managing temporary networks of edge computing devices may advantageously reduce the overall use of a network's bandwidth by reducing the amount of communication with a remote server system.

  • Patent number: 11751093
Abstract: Systems and methods provide flow control for uplink traffic in an integrated access and backhaul network. A first relay node determines that its uplink buffer has reached an occupancy level higher than a pre-determined level. • Patent number: 11743840
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support communication between a user equipment (UE) and a base station on multiple carriers (i.e., carrier aggregation). In some cases, the UE may be scheduled to transmit uplink signals on the different component carriers during transmission time intervals (TTIs) that have different durations. In such cases, it may be appropriate for the UE to determine a maximum transmit power limit relating to the amount of power used for the uplink transmissions on the multiple carriers. As described herein, the UE may identify one of the component carriers as a reference component carrier, and the UE may determine the maximum transmit power limit for a duration of a TTI associated with the reference component carrier. The UE may then transmit on the multiple carriers in compliance with the maximum transmit power limit.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and a device in a base station used for Unlicensed Spectrum. The base station first transmits K1 radio signals in a reference time window and then receives K1 HARQ feedbacks, and performs Q1 energy detections respectively in Q1 time sub-pools on a first frequency sub-band; the K1 HARQ feedbacks are respectively used for determining whether the K1 radio signals are correctly received; a first radio signal is a radio signal of the K1 radio signals, the first radio signal carries part of bits comprised by a first bit block; a first HARQ feedback is used for determining whether the first radio signal is correctly received, HARQ feedback(s) other than the first HARQ feedback among the K1 HARQ feedbacks is(are) used for determining the Q1 time sub-pools. The present disclosure increases the chance of access to Unlicensed Spectrum and the utilization ratio of spectrum resources.

  • Patent number: 11736325
Abstract: A vehicle may wirelessly communicate with another vehicle via a physical channel (a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) channel) that is robust and reliable under high mobility propagation conditions. The physical channel may be created by modifying an existing long-term evolution (LTE) physical channel, such as an LTE sidelink (SL) channel. For instance, the V2V physical channel may be created by increasing, by a particular factor, the subcarrier spacing of legacy LTE channels (e.g., from 15 kilohertz (kHz) to 30 kHz). Additionally, a symbol duration and a fast physical channel may each be reduced by Fourier transform (FFT) size for the V2V the same factor. Doing so may enable the V2V physical channel to be implemented without significant modifications to other aspects of the LTE standard.

  • Patent number: 11695593
Abstract: Embodiments include a power distribution access network comprising power sourcing equipment (PSE) having a hybrid power-data port and at least one remote distribution node coupled to the PSE. The PSE delivers power at a first voltage to the distribution node and the distribution node delivers power at a second voltage to a remote device. Delivery of power to the distribution nodes may be based on information from the distribution node. Other embodiments include a power distribution access network with remote distribution nodes daisy-chained together by hybrid power-data cables so that a power line and a plurality of optical lines pass along the distribution nodes. The optical lines sequentially drop off along the chain and a remainder of the optical lines is indexed at each distribution node. Remote powered devices are coupled to the distribution nodes. Each remote powered device receives power and optical signals from the respective remote distribution node.

  • Patent number: 11665094
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method of reporting telemetry data in a telecommunication network. The telemetry data is collected from a set of one or more telemetry-producing (TP) network elements and is distributed to a set of one or more telemetry-consuming (TC) network elements registered to receive the telemetry data. The method receives a telemetry packet produced by a TP network element and performs a filtering operation to determine whether the telemetry packet should be reported to at least a subset of one or more TC network elements. When the filtering operations result in a determination that the telemetry packet should be reported, the method forwards the telemetry packet to the subset of TC network elements.

  • Patent number: 11627603
Abstract: A first node in a TSCH network may receive a message-initiation packet from a second node on the TSCH network. Based on information in the message-initiation packet, the first node may determine a transmission time for a message content packet that is associated with the message-initiation packet. The first node may generate or modify a node-specific transmission delay that indicates a backoff associated with the second node. The node-specific transmission delay may indicate a quantity of backoff time slots during which the first node delays initiating a transmission with the second node. If the first node receives, during the node-specific transmission delay, an additional packet intended for the second node, the first node may queue the additional packet until after the node-specific transmission delay is completed.

  • Patent number: 11576196
Abstract: The invention relates to a control channel signal for use in a mobile communication system providing at least two different scheduling modes. Further the invention relates to a scheduling unit for generating the control channel signal and a base station comprising the scheduling unit. The invention also relates to the operation of a mobile station and a base station for implementing a scheduling mode using the control channel signal. In order to facilitate the use of different scheduling schemes for user data transmission while avoiding an additional flag for indicating the scheduling mode in the control signaling, the invention proposes the use of code points in existing control channel signal fields. Further, the invention proposes a specific scheduling mode for use in combination with the proposed control channel signal. According to this scheduling mode control channel information is only provided for retransmissions, while initial transmissions are decoded using blind detection.
