  • Patent number: 11802983
Abstract: Systems and methods relate to borehole seismic studies. Traditionally, borehole seismic studies are conducted using geophones. Seismic acquisition can be performed using fiber optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS). Because DAS measures dynamic relative displacement over a gauge length, which is different from particle velocity, DAS data can be converted into an equivalent geophone output response. Operations include converting DAS data into distributed velocity, and then, converting the velocity output into an equivalent geophone response. Various aspects include separating the data into interleaving subsets, integrating each subset along the spatial coordinates, selecting a window width over which the median of each subset will be calculated and subtracted from the data, performing a spatial average or low-pass filtering over contiguous values, performing a time-domain low-pass filtering, and performing the velocity-to-geophone conversion operation.

  • Patent number: 11769103
Abstract: Systems and methods for modeling a temperature in a thermal package in a lane of commerce using forecast weather data or estimating the actual temperature history in a thermal package using actual weather data. Lane temperature is recognized and used as an intermediate calculated variable derived from weather data. Machine learning techniques estimate the lane temperature to determine a model. Product temperature in thermal packaging is estimated by simultaneously solving a set of heat transfer equations. The above is used to with forecast weather data to calculate a lane temperature and then calculate an expected product temperature based on the time and date of shipment. This product temperature curve is then analyzed with a set of decision rules to improve decision making on when to make a shipment and the best packaging to use.

  • Patent number: 11742833
Abstract: High power impedance tuners suffer from intense heating of the center conductor of the tuner airline (slabline), due to dissipated RF and DC power and, in addition to high electric field between the metallic tuning probe (slug) and the center conductor, also from associated thermal expansion causing sagging of the center conductor and possible electrical short. If the thermal expansion cannot be accommodated by structural means, the center conductor is cooled using forced air created by ventilators or re-circulating low loss dielectric liquid flowing through the slabline. Premature tuner aging through continuous airflow or cooling liquid circulation is avoided using real time monitoring of dissipated (heating) power and regulation of the cooling mechanism.
