  • Patent number: 11658511
Abstract: Energy flows are segmented into components for tracking the location of energy consumption and production. Data collected on energy flows is used to create profiles of energy production and consumption over specified time windows for specific clients. Data profiles are also created for an aggregation of clients. The portion of an energy flow that is distributed to each client within an area is calculated. Based on data obtained and portions calculated of the energy flow, incentives are created to encourage energy production and usage in locations that reduce energy losses due to transmission of the energy flow. Aggregated data and feedback information about production and consumption is sent back to clients. Incentives can be in the form of pricing adjustments for both production and consumption during specified time periods.

  • Patent number: 11609351
Abstract: Methods for measuring seismic velocities and for monitoring local changes in inter-well seismic velocities in real time are described. Two or more spaced-apart observation wells are provided. Seismic receiver arrays are placed in the observation wells, and a seismic source array is provided at surface locations away from the well bores and producing areas. Compression (P), vertical shear (Sv) and/or horizontal shear (Sh) seismic wave signals are generated from each element of the seismic source array, and the seismic signals arriving at the receivers in the observation wells are recorded. The virtual source method is then applied to the recorded data to compute emulated cross-well seismic signals of the virtual sources at receiver locations in one observation well propagating toward the receivers at other observation wells. Analysis of direct arrivals of emulated cross-well seismic signals can be completed to extract travel times, inter-well seismic velocities, and rock properties.

  • Patent number: 11607850
Abstract: Embodiments represent acceleration along three orthogonal axes at two or more times as a three dimensional plot. Each point in the plot is positioned according to three coordinates, each of which is proportional to the amount of acceleration along one of the orthogonal axes at a moment in time. Some embodiments render the three dimensional plot as a three dimensional article of manufacture in which each point in the plot is represented by a volume of material. Some embodiments represent the three dimensional plot in two dimensions in a graphical interface. System embodiments may include an accelerometer, processor, output device, and a non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions causing the processor to map points with coordinates proportional to acceleration along the respective axes to a virtual three-dimensional plot and then control the output device to render the plot in two or three dimensions.

  • Patent number: 11598189
Abstract: A method for optimizing pressure exchange includes providing a first pressure exchange system comprising an energy recovery device (ERD). A second system supplies high-pressure fluid, energized by a positive displacement pump, to the ERD. A third system supplies low-pressure fluid to the ERD. The first system energizes the low-pressure fluid with the high-pressure fluid to form a high-pressure fracking fluid, which is delivered from the first system to a well-head. A rate of required flow is input into a control system, which determines a rate of flow of the high-pressure fluid, a rate of flow of the low-pressure fluid, and an actual rate of flow of the fracking fluid at the well-head. The control system then adjusts to equilibrium: the rate of flow of the high-pressure fluid based on the actual rate of flow; and the rate of flow of the low-pressure fluid based on the actual rate of flow.
