Abstract: In an example method, a mobile device obtains sample data generated by one or more sensors over a period of time, where the one or more sensors are worn by a user. The mobile device determines that the user has fallen based on the sample data, and determines, based on the sample data, a severity of an injury suffered by the user. The mobile device generates one or more notifications based on the determination that the user has fallen and the determined severity of the injury.

Abstract: A cassette for receiving and dispensing bills is disclosed. The cassette includes a sensor structured to detect a location of the cassette, and memory having stored thereon instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to transmit the location of the cassette to a remote computing device, determine that the location of the cassette has changed, and generate an indication that the location of the cassette has changed.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for receiving a request to generate a media overlay corresponding to a home of a first user, and for generating the media overlay corresponding to the home of the first user using media content received in the request. The systems and methods further provide for associating, with the media overlay, a location of the home of the first user and a selection of users to grant permission to access the media overlay corresponding to the home of the first user. The systems and methods further provide for determining whether a second user and a location corresponding to the second computing device trigger access to the media overlay and providing the media overlay to the second computing device, based on determining that the second user and location corresponding to the second computing device trigger access to the media overlay.

In some implementations, the verification determines that the image include a complete code rather than combinations of sequentially-displayed codes that may be included in an image based on use of a rolling shutter (e.g., in a camera of a detecting electronic device). In some implementations, the verification involves comparing a first verification portion of an image to a second opposing verification portion of an image. Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods for modifying image capture parameters (e.g., frame rate) to ensure capture of all codes of a time-varying visual marker.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for determining the category of a software application utilizing machine learning (ML) and knowledge graph techniques, and for controlling access to the application by a user based on the category and configured time restrictions for the user. The system includes a feature set extractor and a category predictor with a trained ML model. The trained ML model generates the category of the application based on a feature(s) of the application. The generated category is indicated in a data structure. An access request handler receives a request related to access to the application from a user device. A category determiner determines the category of the application from the data structure. A time usage manager determines an available time usage for the category and the specified user. The access arbiter responds to the request from the user device with the available time usage.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods are provided for a chassis for an off-road vehicle that includes a roll cage chassis spine. The chassis is a welded-tube variety of chassis that includes a front portion and a rear portion that are joined to an intervening passenger cabin portion. The roll cage chassis spine includes a front canopy and a rear canopy comprising an overhead spine to the chassis that increases the strength of the chassis and improves the safety of occupants within the vehicle. The rear canopy couples to the rear portion of the chassis, and the front canopy couples to the front portion of the chassis and the rear canopy. The front canopy and the rear canopy are configured to cooperatively reinforce the chassis during loading forces on the front portion due to front struts and loading forces on the rear portion due to rear struts.

Abstract: A scanning device includes a scanner, a fixing seat, a sensor, and a processor. The fixing seat is provided with a positioning groove for fixing a position of a workpiece. The sensor senses whether the workpiece is on the fixing base. The processor is communicatively coupled to the scanner and the sensor and used for receiving signals from the sensor and sending instructions to the scanner. If the sensor senses the workpiece on the fixing base, the processor controls the scanner to scan an identification code on the workpiece. If the sensor does not sense the workpiece on the fixing base, the processor controls the scanner to stop scanning.

Abstract: Systems and methods to validate RFID counts may be provided. A business may affix temporary or permanent location tags with barcodes throughout an area to be counted, and the location tags may then be recorded. Manual counters may perform a piece count of items associated with each location tag. RFID counters may perform an RFID read of items associated with each location tag. All RFID reads may be associated with their most likely location tag. The manual piece count may be compared to the total of RFID tags assigned to each location tag. Locations may be rejected where the totals do not match. Locations rejected by the manual piece count comparison may then be barcode scanned and compared to the RFID reads for each location tag required to be barcode scanned. Resolution may be performed for locations where the barcode item counts do not match the RFID item counts.

A tube receives the fluid from the inlet port. The microfluidic device includes a piezoelectric actuator for realizing a displacement of a substrate to which the microfluidic device is attached, the displacement based on an electrical actuation applied to the piezoelectric actuator, and an amount of the fluid or a pressure in the tube. In some embodiments, the tube includes a carbon nanotube. In some embodiments, an amount of the fluid in the tube is controlled by an actuator (e.g., the piezoelectric actuator).
