  • Patent number: 11915569
Abstract: A light-receiving element and a first light-emitting element are disposed in a position in which the light-receiving element receives forward-scattered light produced when smoke in the smoke detection part is irradiated with first irradiation light emitted from the first light-emitting element. A secondary reflecting plate is provided on a side of the first light-emitting element inside the peripheral wall. The secondary reflecting plate is configured to form secondary reflected light when the smoke detection part without smoke is irradiated with the first irradiation light. The secondary reflecting plate receives primary reflected light resulting from reflection of the first irradiation light from the peripheral wall and reflects the primary reflected light, and then allows the formed secondary reflected light to enter the light-receiving element.

  • Patent number: 11911596
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques to establish initial settings for an automatic insulin delivery device. An adjusted total daily insulin (TDI) factor usable to calculate a TDI dosage may be determined. The adjusted TDI factor may be a TDI per unit of a physical characteristic of the user (e.g., weight) times a reduction factor. The adjusted TDI factor may be compared to a maximum algorithm delivery threshold. Based on the comparison result, the application or algorithm may set a TDI dosage and output a control signal. Blood glucose measurement values may be collected from a sensor over a period of time. A level of glycated hemoglobin of the blood may be determined based on the obtained blood glucose measurement values. In response to the level of glycated hemoglobin, the set TDI dosage may be modified. A subsequent control signal including the modified TDI dosage may be output to actuate delivery of insulin.

  • Patent number: 11904841
Abstract: A suspension system and associated control methods for improving the effectiveness of driver assistance systems is disclosed where the driver assistance systems can generate and send requests to a suspension control unit (SCU) of the suspension system to actuate (e.g., close) one or more comfort valves in the suspension system to increase the roll stiffness and/or pitch stiffness of the suspension system when the driver assistance systems are taking corrective action. As part of a two-way communication between the suspension control unit (SCU) and the driver assistance systems, the suspension control unit (SCU) communicates target stiffnesses and/or calculated effective stiffnesses to the driver assistance systems, which is used to update the vehicle stability models used by the driver assistance systems.

  • Patent number: 11900968
Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamic bookmarking in branched video are described. An application provides a video tree having a plurality of video segments, with each video segment including a predefined portion of one or more paths in the video tree, and each path being associated with a different video presentation. One of the paths in the video tree is traversed based on one or more decisions made by a user during playback of the video presentation associated with the path being traversed. A selection of a particular location in the path being traversed is received by the application, which stores a bookmark of the location for subsequent retrieval. The bookmark identifies a sequence of video segments in the video tree having been traversed to reach the location. The structure of the video tree is modified, and the bookmark is automatically updated, if necessary. At a later time, the application receives a selection of the stored bookmark and seeks to the bookmarked location.
