  • Patent number: 11308644
Abstract: The present description relates relate to recalibration of a sensor device for performance capture, by detecting a miscalibration problem with sensor device and assessment of the problem. A recalibration system includes sensor devices initially calibrated at a recording site. A recording site change occurs and afterwards, a failure to match virtual rays projected from one sensor device with virtual rays projected from the active marker is detected. In response to determining the failure, the active marker is signaled to emit a unique display of light. The failure of the rays to match is assessed based on whether sensor devices capture the unique display of light. Three-dimensional (3-D) coordinates of an active marker is reconstructed from marker data of the calibrated sensor devices. A problematic sensor device is recalibrated based on the assessment, using the 3-D coordinates of the active marker from marker data of the remaining calibrated sensor devices, without stopping the recording.

  • Patent number: 11290708
Abstract: In an arrangement where a physical phenomenon affects a digital video camera and is measured or sensed by a sensor, a delay of a digital video stream from the digital video camera is estimated. The digital video stream is processed by a video processor for producing a signal that represents the changing over time of the effect of the physical phenomenon on the digital video camera. The signal is then compared with the sensor output signal, such as by using cross-correlation or cross-convolution, for estimating the time delay between the compared signals. The estimated time delay may be used for synchronizing when combining additional varied data to the digital video stream for low-error time alignment. The physical phenomenon may be based on mechanical position or motion, such as pitch, yaw, or roll. The time delay estimating may be performed once, upon user control, periodically, or continuously.

  • Patent number: 11257201
Abstract: A system and method for preventing sight deterioration caused by prolonged use of electronic visual displays in low-light conditions is provided. The system includes a camera directed towards a user, a processing circuitry, control circuitry and, optionally, a light sensor. The processing circuitry determines the illuminance of a user's face, and in case it falls outside of a predefined range (putting the user at risk of future sight deterioration and progression of myopia), the device stores the illuminance data and/or sends a control signal to circuitry operative to notify the user. If processing circuitry determines that the illuminance is equal or greater than the predefined illuminance, the circuitry operative can stop the notification. The notification can be modulated by any combination of the illuminance and the time of use.
