    Abstract: An antenna device is provided that is preferably used for various wireless devices such as television receivers and the like. An antenna rod can be stopped at a predetermined angle position via a hinge mechanism. The antenna device includes a hinge mechanism by which a biasing force of a coil spring stored in an antenna base causes an upper end of a circular-cylindrical projection of an abutting member to be abutted with an end face of a projection section of an intermediate member fixed to a lower part or antenna rod, thereby stopping the antenna rod at a predetermined angle position. When the antenna rod is moved to a different angle position, the abutting member has a biased movement in the downward direction. This can suppress the wear of the circular-cylindrical projection.

This structure allows determining arbitrarily splitting positions and shapes of members of the first antenna element and the members of the second antenna element. The antenna can be obtained at an inexpensive cost even if an external appearance of the antenna is specified to be an irregular shape.

In this arrangement, radiation applied to a substantially central location of the block structure interacts with the plurality of conductive unit resonator cells and the plurality of conductive strip lines for redirecting the radiation out of front and rear facing surfaces of the block structure as respective first and second substantially collimated beams.

The antenna layers (4, 5) are arranged in subarrays and the antenna output is connected by a transition (12) to a standard twin Low Noise Block.

The IRS21681D is based on the popular IR2166 control IC with additional improvements to increase ballast performance. PFC circuitry operates in critical conduction mode and provides high PF, low THD and DC bus regulation. The IRS21681D features include programmable preheat and run frequencies, programmable preheat time, programmable ignition ramp, programmable PFC over-current protection, and programmable end-of-life protection. Comprehensive protection features such as protection from failure of a lamp to strike, filament failures, end-of-life protection, DC bus under-voltage reset as well as an automatic restart function, have been included in the design. The IRS2168D has, in addition, closed-loop half-bridge ignition current regulation and a novel fault counter. The IRS21681D, unlike the IRS2168D, ramps up during ignition and shuts down at the first over-current fault.

For typical diagnostic cavity applications, a five-fold increase in shunt impedance can be obtained. In alternative embodiments the cavity may include either four or more opposing pairs of rods which extend coaxially toward one another from the opposite end walls of the cavity and are spaced from one another to form capacitative gaps; or the cavity may include a single set of individual rods that extend from one end wall to a point adjacent the opposing end wall.
