Abstract: A selection candidate display method, a selection candidate display device, and an input/output device are provided. When a number of receivable broadcasting stations is not “4” or less, a controller allocates the receivable broadcasting stations to three segmented logical areas among four segmented logical areas, allocates a scroll area to the remaining one logical area, and displays the channel numbers of the allocated receivable broadcasting stations and information indicating the scroll area, for example, “S” in the respective logical areas of a circle pad. When the logical area to which the scroll area is allocated is operated, the controller moves the scroll area to the adjacent logical area and allocates the next receivable broadcasting station after the broadcasting station allocated to the remaining logical area among the logical areas adjacent to the scroll area, to the logical area which was the scroll area.

Abstract: In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for delivery of a sponsored content to a mobile communication facility user. In embodiments, a request may be received for a sponsored content from a publisher, and one or more content inventories may be searched for a content that is relevant to the request. Content may be selected for delivery to the publisher from one or more content inventory. The content may be selected based at least in part on a relevance between the content and the request. The content, and the content inventory from which the relevant content is chosen, may be selected based at least in part on a statistical weight relating to the amount of revenue a wireless operator may realize upon presentation of the content to a mobile communication facility.

Abstract: Synchronization between multiple data repositories is described which retrieves tree structures that represent the hierarchical organization of the data repositories that will be or are synchronized. One of tree structures is parsed for data nodes, while the other tree structures are parsed for each such data node to find matching data nodes having corresponding hierarchies. Moved nodes are identified when a matching node is found that does not have the same hierarchy in its tree structure. Similarly, deleted nodes are identified when a node is found with no match in a controlling tree structure. Data structure lists are compiled noting matching relationships and hierarchies and also noting moved and deleted nodes and their relationships with the rest of the formerly corresponding nodes. Using these data structure lists, a synchronization interface is generated for display to a user that visually compares the synchronization of the multiple data repositories.

Abstract: A system and method are directed towards enabling control of widgets using on-widget data controls. A visitor may enter selective personal information and determine what information is made available on a social networking webpage. A visitor to a social networking website may select to not have their information displayed at a social networking website, while still being displayed at another social networking website. A visitor's information may be displayed within a reader roll, an association listing, a visitor comment page, or the like. An owner of a social networking website may also select not to have a visitor's information displayed on the website. In one embodiment, selecting not to display information may be performed by ‘mousing’ over the information and selecting a display option. Social networking websites may look to a centralized registration system to determine whether to display the visitor information.

Abstract: A method for providing, by a remote machine, access to a desk band associated with a resource on a local machine includes receiving, by a first agent on the remote machine, an identification of a desk band associated with a resource on a local machine. The first agent, in communication with a shell on the remote machine, maintains a taskbar window in a remote desktop environment. The taskbar window includes at least one window associated with a resource provided by the remote machine and a window region representing the desk band by using graphical data stored on the remote machine. The first agent transmits, to a second agent on the local machine, window attribute data and output data associated with the taskbar window in the remote desktop environment. The second agent displays at least a portion of the received output data in a local window on a local desktop environment.

Abstract: Collaboration by a plurality of users in an application. The application may include processing logic and a user interface. The user interface may include at least one control element adapted to receive collaborative input, where the at least one control element may be linked to a collaboration utility. The collaboration utility may be adapted to generate the collaborative input for the control element based on the individual inputs of at least some of the plurality of users.

Abstract: The invention's features improve the user interaction of Caret and Selection manipulation in text GUI components. The Precaret, like the Caret, indicates a position between text characters, but unlike the Caret, the Precaret continually tracks the Cursor, jumping from position to position to indicate exactly where the Caret will be placed when the mouse is clicked. The Gapper visually indicates a gap of one or more white space characters in the text or a gap of white space between paragraphs; the Gapper tracks either the Precaret or the Caret, whichever moved last. An enhanced Cursor switches to a less-obtrusive form while it is over text so as not to obscure the position of the Precaret while moving the mouse or the leading edge of the Selection while dragging the mouse. The Caret and Precaret change shape to indicate a special feature of a position within the text, such as the wrapping of one text row to the next.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing To do items and/or notes and/or emails (or other electronic messages) are described. On exemplary method includes receiving an input to create a To do item based on a portion of an email record, such as a received email, and creating, in response to the input, the To do item. Another exemplary method includes storing a note having a To do item in the note, the note being stored as an entry in a note database which is separate from a To do database and storing the To do item in the To do database and receiving an input within either a note view or a To do view to edit the To do item and causing the note to be edited and causing the To do item to be edited in response to the input.

Abstract: Methods and other embodiments associated with a web browser extension are described. One example browser extension includes a toolbar logic to provide a toolbar. The toolbar may include, for example, a set of graphical user interface elements displayed in connection with a browser window. The browser extension may also include a sidebar logic to provide a sidebar. The browser extension may also include a coordination logic to coordinate the presentation and functionality of a combination of the toolbar and the sidebar to be provided to a browser. The presentation and functionality may be based, at least in part, on a selectable presentation mode and a selectable attachment mode.

The system and method may include detecting an event occurring at the electronic paper display device, identifying the event and a status of the electronic paper display device, wherein the identification of the event comprises using a data structure mapping electronic content structure to one or more identifiers, and transmitting the one or more identifiers associated with the event via a network to a network accessible device.

Abstract: A visualization service generates a graphical representation or visualization of each user's behavior within a network resource, such as a website. In one example, the visualization service provides a dynamic visualization of each user accessing the network resource. Each user is graphically represented in the visualization with an indicium, such as a point or dot. The visualization (and thus, the position of each indicium representing a user) is dynamically updated as each user accesses data files from the network resource and thus, moves from state to state (or page to page) over time. The effect is similar to watching cars move along a complex highway system.

Abstract: Systems, methodologies, media, and other embodiments associated with web browsers are described. One exemplary embodiment includes a graphical user interface having a window arrangement option for display on a display screen and being configured to initiate, when selected, an arrangement of open windows having a selected window type. An arrangement logic that, in response to the window arrangement option being selected, re-displays the open windows having the selected window type in a selected arrangement on the display screen without re-displaying open windows not having the selected window type.

Abstract: Task switching among windows on a graphical user interface. Responsive to user action (such as simultaneously pressing the ALT and TAB keys), a task selection window is displayed in which an iconic representation is provided for a plurality of windows, including at least one child window, and the iconic representations are arranged according to how recently the associated window had focus. Responsive to user action (such as pressing the TAB key while the ALT key remains depressed), a selection indicator moves through the selectable iconic representations in the order of the recency of the focus.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for dragging and dropping a component of an application onto a virtual desktop. One process includes operations for receiving a request to copy a selected component of an application from a plurality of components of the application onto the virtual desktop. A display window for displaying the selected component of the application is executed and the unselected components of the application are filtered by visually concealing the unselected components. The process can further include presenting the selected component of the application in the display window.

The method forwards a user request to a control server and to receive a response to the user request from the control server. A user request comprises one or more user interactions with the subset of the functional interfaces. The method further comprises updating the subset of the functional interfaces on the display screen.

A collaboration engine may be configured to generate the collaboration window including the graphical user interface, and configured to provide and receive information therewith regarding the communication. Abstract: Among other things, techniques and systems are disclosed for providing a graphical user interface (GUI) to user. A system includes a content source and a GUI communicatively connected to the content source. The GUI includes a user input area to receive user input and a display area to display available content items from the content source based on the received user input. The display area includes a presentation of the available content arranged in one or more rows. Each row includes a user selectable area to display at least one visual indication that represents one or more of the available content items. Each row includes a holding area to display another visual indication that represents other available content items not displayed in the user selectable area. The display area includes highlighting positioned over one of the available content items.
