  • Patent number: 11290858
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A human user, such as a pedestrian, cyclist, or driver, may provide a feedback message to a vehicle whose behavior they observe. The feedback message and the recipient may be manually identified by the human user or may be suggested by the system or device. The feedback message may be broadcast and filtered by vehicles within the broadcast radius based on a vehicle identifier. A vehicle that receives the feedback message may discard the feedback message if it applies to another vehicle or may take responsive action if the feedback message applies to the vehicle. For example, the recipient vehicle may display the feedback message, store the feedback message to support related analysis, or relay the feedback message to other vehicles or network devices.

  • Patent number: 11259871
Abstract: Systems are provided for generating data representing electromagnetic states of a heart for medical, scientific, research, and/or engineering purposes. The systems generate the data based on source configurations such as dimensions of, and scar or fibrosis or pro-arrhythmic substrate location within, a heart and a computational model of the electromagnetic output of the heart. The systems may dynamically generate the source configurations to provide representative source configurations that may be found in a population. For each source configuration of the electromagnetic source, the systems run a simulation of the functioning of the heart to generate modeled electromagnetic output (e.g., an electromagnetic mesh for each simulation step with a voltage at each point of the electromagnetic mesh) for that source configuration.

  • Patent number: 11244179
Abstract: A stop line position estimation device includes a traffic signal recognition unit configured to recognize a traffic signal at an intersection ahead of a vehicle and a stop line position estimation unit configured to estimate that a position of the stop line is a position from the traffic signal by a first distance toward the vehicle side. When the traffic signal recognition unit recognizes a plurality of traffic signals and the stop line position estimation unit recognizes an immediate front traffic signal and a rear traffic signal based on a positional relationship between the traffic signals, the stop line position estimation unit estimates that the position of the stop line is a position from the immediate front traffic signal by a second distance toward the vehicle side. The second distance is shorter than the first distance.

  • Patent number: 11229564
Abstract: A person support apparatus includes a first transceiver adapted to wirelessly communicate with a second transceiver of a headwall interface that is positioned off of the person support apparatus. A communication link is automatically established between the first and second transceivers without requiring a user of the person support apparatus to activate a designated control and without requiring the user to identify the headwall interface. The first transceiver includes a unique identifier assigned to the headwall interface in its messages to the headwall interface. The first transceiver may also automatically transmit a disconnect signal to the headwall interface indicating the termination of the communication link is not accidental. The disconnect signal is sent based on one or more of the following: (1) a brake being off, (2) an A/C power cord being unplugged; and/or (3) a signal strength between the transceivers decreasing.
